That last review was a little harsh.
If you put a holding deposit on a car that means it is being put on hold for you, subject to a test drive, not to hold and check another Dealers car to make sure which is better.
It was $50.00 well spent! You found a better car " so you think" that's ok. But you have made the other Dealer a promise that you did not keep. maybe costing him a sale to somebody else. The only one here who has done the wrong thing is you. Did you keep your word and test drive the vehicle? no you dd not! so why should you get your Whole "$50.00" back?
You sound like a real cheap Charlie, crying over $50.00. The dealer is probably lucky that he did not sell you the car, as you sound like you want a new car at a second hand car price. Then you have the face to post a review to bad mouth this guy who is trying to make a living. Hope you are proud of yourself, and don't forget to invest that $50.00 at the best rate of interest possible MR. Scrooge !

Best dealer for JDM vehicles and very genuine and transparent dealer.

Shan and his team were nice at the start. We were interested in a car, and made a small deposit of $50 to reserve the car. They promised to return the deposit if we didn’t like it. On the very next day, we were no longer interested in the car due to finding a better car at another dealership for our own purposes. However, the dealers wouldn’t return the deposit unless we had test-run the vehicle. They labelled our reasons in choosing the other car as stupid (better fuel economy due to the lower-cylinder engine, newer & more reputable model, and cheaper price). They tried to make us leave by surrounding and bullying us, but eventually gave up and returned the deposit after we stood tall and did not fall for their intimidation. I would NEVER recommend this dealership due to their appalling customer service.

Although i have not dealt with Narita Imports, I felt compelled to share this and warn others as i lived in the local area for a number of decades.

NSW Fair Trading publishes a Newsletter called AutoTorque.
Here's what they published in Issue 35 on 13.07.21;

"Lansvale dealership fined for misleading customers:

Narita Imports directors Azizul Hakim Chowdhury and Nahida Akhter plead guilty to 13 charges brought by NSW Fair Trading at Parramatta Local Court in late April 2021.

The pair were ordered to pay $7,725 in fines and investigation costs for breaches of the Australian Consumer Law and Motor Dealers & Repairers Act 2013.

All motor dealers must make sure that all the information in dealers notices is true and accurate. Buying a car is a significant and costly event in a person’s life and consumers must be confident that they are getting what they pay for.

The 13 prosecuted offences took place from 10 August 2019 to 4 October 2019 and included several around dealer notices provided to consumers that were false and misleading. They included a Personal Property Security Register (PPSR) check number and a guarantee that the motor vehicle being purchased had been checked against the Register and came back with a clear title; however, the PPSR number recorded did not exist on the Register.

The full list of offences included:
7 x s.151(1)(m) of the Australian Consumer Law – makes a false or misleading representation concerning the existence, exclusion or effect of any condition, warranty, guarantee, right or remedy
1 x s.100(5) of the Motor Dealers & Repairers Act 2013 – Licensee fail to keep etc register in accordance with s 100
2 x s.63(2) of the Motor Dealers & Repairers Act 2013 – Offer etc motor vehicle without dealers notice attached
3 x s.184 of the Motor Dealers & Repairers Act 2013 – Tender etc incomplete sale document for signature.

This is not the first time Narita Imports has found itself in trouble, previously receiving education and Penalty Infringement Notices.

Narita Imports has the option to appeal".
