Contreras Music

I recently joined Contreras Music and have been thoroughly impressed with my experience so far. A standout moment was when Cristian, one of the staff members, went above and beyond yesterday to help me pick out a new guitar. His guidance and expertise made the selection process smooth and insightful, ensuring I left with the perfect instrument for me.

In addition, I’ve had the opportunity to learn from Connor, an amazing and highly experienced guitar tutor at Contreras Music. His lessons are clear, engaging, and tailored to my individual needs, which has greatly enhanced my playing skills and enjoyment of the guitar.

The facilities at Contreras Music are also worth mentioning. They are clean, well-equipped, and create a pleasant learning environment that enhances the overall experience.

I highly recommend Contreras Music to anyone looking to improve their guitar skills in a supportive and high-quality setting.

I have enjoyed my lessons at contreras music over the past 4 years. Dom was a great teacher and help me with HSC.

My daughter is 9 and wanted to learn bass guitar. We are so happy with Contreras Music. Not only is she thriving with her music but she is happy and confident with her teacher Dom Simpson whose music knowledge is very impressive. Cristian runs a very professional music school with fantastic communication and opportunities. We are extremely happy we chose Contreras Music.

We took 5 school children to record their school song at Contreras Music studio. It was a great experience for them to see how it all works. Christian and Dominic were wonderful to work with and we would highly recommend them for any recordings. Thank you!

My daughter loves her guitar lessons with Dom. She is always free to choose the music she wants to play which makes it more enjoyable at both lessons and practice at home.
Dom is a fantastic teacher who really puts the effort in to make the students feel comfortable and confident.
Christian is also a delight to deal with if any concerns or changes need to be made.

I have been taking piano & composition lessons at Contreras Music. It has been the best time I ever enjoyed. Mr. Contreras is the most professional music teacher I have ever come across. Within a few lessons he has corrected many bad habits that I have developed with the other teachers. And the ways he encourages me to practise, understand, as well as to do it in a very efficient way has made a great progress on the instrument which I thought I am not very much into. I would highly recommend him to any music students of all ages.

It is a truly amazing journey, thanks Cristian for having me!

I have always wanted to learn to play the guitar but never stuck with a teacher for more than a couple of months. However, Cristian has been very catering to my music goals and holds me accountable to my practice and is very positive and passionate about music and teaching music.

I have now been learning with Cristian for over a year and do not plan on stopping!

Cristian was so very patient with my son in our first visit
He worked so well with my boy, and adjusted his approach as required to make sure the lesson was as enjoyable and rewarding as possible
After our first trial lesson, we immediately signed up for a longer term plan and we're both excited to see how much progress can be made

Cristian is a wonderful piano teacher. He taught me things in just our first lesson together that I hadn't learnt in the previous 6 years I had learnt piano. He is amazingly accomplished, passionate and has a great energy. Cristian is easy to talk to and understanding - he understands when "stuff" gets in the way of practising and never holds it against you! I would gladly recommend him to anyone looking for a piano teacher, particularly adult lessons.

I've been with learning piano with Contreras music for the last 7 months or so and have really enjoyed my time here and can see big improvements in my music knowledge and playing. Lessons are tailored to suit my individual goals and musical interests so whether you're just starting out, looking for a new hobby, or wanting to become the next Beethoven I would recommend giving Contreras Music a call.

Great teacher. Definitely the best mentor i've had since i started learning the piano nine years ago. Really motivating and calming, and ultimately enhancing my love for music. He makes my issues, his, and together we make it an achievable goal to work towards together. You definitely won't regret it :)

More often than not a piano teacher asks you, "What would you like to learn on the piano?" Regardless of your answer, you eventually end up with the AMEB syllabus in front of you preparing for an AMEB exam. This option is available to Cristian's student.

However, other options are also available to Cristian's students. My answer is that, "That I want to learn to feel free on the piano." It's a very broad answer and can be interpreted in as many ways as there are individuals. To break my answer down I wanted to be able to:
- come up with chordal arrangements on the piano to accompany myself singing folk, pop and jazz songs etc.
- improvised solos in folk, pop and jazz songs as well as improvise freely
- play some classical pieces.

Do I feel free on the piano? I have come a long way and feel freer but it is an ongoing journey. I have made positive inroads on accompanying myself singing, improvising and learning pieces thanks to Cristian.

Cristian has always been positive and encouraging even when I haven't been the best student. Cristian has provided me with practice methods to overcome my weak spots in pieces. He has made me realise what needs to be done to learn music effectively.

Both my girls get piano lessons at this place. Their commitment to teaching music is amazing. Even with the younger kids. My youngest is only 5 and has learnt so much in so little time. 10/10

i loved criastain's piano lesson because he always encourages me to play correctly. He is very punctual and always verify my home work. I am sure i will master Keyboard playing soon with Cristina's teaching and encouragement.

I’ve been looking for a professional music service in western Sydney and can confidently say I have found it. I take lessons with Cristian and he is no doubt very knowledgeable and a professional all round. Ive had 2 lessons so far and am more tha ln happy with his service!
