La Pera pizza Matraville

Have only had this delivered multiple times and it never disappoints! I have to say it is the best pizza I’ve had in decades! Absolutely delicious huge amounts of toppings and old fashioned very generous serving sizes just brilliant!

My girlfriend and I only get this on food delivery apps, usually to satisfy our late night pizza cravings. Luckily, this restaurant opens hella late, so we’re always blessed to be bestowed with their fantastic pizzas. What’s more is that they always provide a free product as a special during the times we order from them, and although small, it’s an awesome added bonus. It’s usually sometimes like garlic bread, chips, or if you’re lucky, a small garlic pizza!

We’ve ordered multiple times from them and they’ve never failed us. The truffle fries are my partners favourite, and she can’t get enough of it. I was more shocked at the pizza sizes (we usually get 1 large pizza), since they were absolutely massive, and tasted incredible too. I would’ve eaten it all on the spot, but I had to restrain myself from doing so. We purchased a Nutella pizza from them before, but it was a bit underwhelming, shown in the photos, but my expectations aren’t that high anyways as I’m aware that many pizza joints kinda lack in this department. I can confidently say that the pizzas are the best thing on the menu though! I’ve also tried a crispy chicken burger before, and it was alright. I think it would have been a lot better if I had it whilst dining it, as the driver took a while to get it over.

Overall, super awesome pizza restaurant that saves your bum if you’re craving pizza late into the night, or if you want a pizza made properly, and not by an underpaid 15 year olds at dominos.

I have been going into here since the voucher has been released and I strongly recommend. My fav is bbq family size and is good for 3 ppl. Have tried similar priced pizzas in kiama and this pizza is just amazing with most crust covered with much toppings in quality . Totally worth and have been going back for about 11 times now. Highly recommend and fast order as well.

Local Pizza place. Good pizza and pasta. Does other food as well. Restaurant seems a bit cluttered, but food was still good. Friendly service.

I originally started ordering when they first opened as I lived nearby. Whether it was the grilled chicken, fries & veggies, pizzas or burgers, they have been consistent and great quality. A well welcomed restaurant in the area.

FYI - basically ordered grilled chicken from here daily, sometimes twice a day…

I’ve been living far for a while, however now moving back within the area and seeing the success pay off in a beautiful renovation, I’m very excited to be ordering from here again without a shadow of a doubt.

Well done team, keep putting out your best for everyone. The struggle has been worth it!

Best Banh Mis, unfortunately, you can only order them in Menulog, not the website.
But the buns are super crunchy, loaded with ingredients and the grilled meats are always super tasty. They could only do with a bit more pate... and direct orders without Menulog markup :)

Just ordered pizza and a couple of schnitzels a couple of weeks ago after reading some great reviews on google. Seriously the best pizza we have ordered from any shop around Little Bay and Matraville and Maroubra in years. We have been ordering pizza from Site in Little Bay for 10 years and won't be doing that anymore! We are now ordering from La Pera once a week and every pizza has been really yummy with very generous toppings. The schnitzels were also great and would definately order them again haven't tried to burgers yet but will do soon. Love that you guys are open late as well. Would highly recommend.

A busy little hidden gem. This modest place was superb, tried it for take-away and was literally taken-away by the excellent taste, aromas, freshness and authenticity of the food.

The service was swift and friendly, an all-male crew, made the whole experience quite unique, they seemed to work neatly and in synchronization, but the finished product was simply superb. Despite the friendly guy's suggestion to try their amazing Pizza, we ordered a selection of pasta this time and were not at all disappointed.

The Lasagne was not only a generous portion but super tasty and authentic, cannot recommend this place more as one of Sydney's eastern suburbs most hidden gems.

Ordered for the first time from La Pera enjoyed all the food (ordered pizza, chicken schnitzel, pasta, chicken burger. The pizza was bigger than I expected and very filling. Will order again, thanks for the first time ordering experience from La Pera.

I went to pick up my food from this place and I noticed that all the staff was from Asia. I was surprised because I was expecting to see at least one Italian guy as the restaurant is about Italian food (nothing against people from Asia). When I went home I was a bit worried about the food but it was delicious. And the prices are not too bad tbh.

Had a boscaiola pasta here, it was delicious 👌 really tasty sauce and well cooked pasta. My complements to the chief. Would definitely order here again.

I didn't know what to expect when La Pera opened up. What we got was a friendly restaurant that offers a broad range of delicious dishes that's open until the early AM. If you've never had a Boscaiola with the sauce made from scratch in front of you then you are missing out! Definitely a return customer
