As a buyer of a property through McCulloch Agencies, we had a seamless experience. Last minute request to view the property Jess Slade made it happen. Then on the auction night Daniel McCulloch was very fair at the pointy end when he was acting in the interests of the vendors and negotiating with us as buyers.

Location, service, professionalism

We called Oliver Smith to give us an appraisal on our Daruka home. I explained to Oliver that I needed a motivated agent as it was an urgent sale. He assured me on a lot of things and one being that he had many buyers that missed out on a recent sale that would be interested in ours. We signed up with him and it was the worst experience. Not only did we lose over $2000 on marketing we also were delayed by 6 months. In the 3 months we were with McCollochs Oliver only held two open homes. One was held 2 weeks after he listed it and the ad for the open home put up days before the open home…then I approached Oliver and told him our tenants were near the end of lease and that I really needed him to list the second open home early so people outside of Tamworth had a chance to see it too. He assured me he would. On the week of the second open home I noticed he didn’t put up the inspection time. I asked him again on the Monday and he said he would put it up, but didn’t. Eventually on the day before the inspection he put it up late on and only 1 person came. I expressed how disappointed and unhappy I was after the open home, especially when I’ve told him how urgent it was. We had to renew our tenants lease which delayed us for another 6 months. He also had to be reminded several times to advertise it on their Facebook and Instagram page which is what I paid for. He didn’t. I had to chase him for the whole week to post the inspection times and also consistently remind him to put up the social media advertising which wasn’t done for a while. Being in a real estate family, When a property comes on the market it’s hot and needs to be marketed well with consistent open homes. This didn’t happen. It burnt our homes reputation. After the two open homes, we never heard from him again until there end where there was a cash buyer. He asked us if we would significantly drop our price and we said no but he can negotiate his commission which he didn’t want to to do. I have called Daniel McColloch and expressed my concerns on the negative experience and appreciated his time for listening to feedback regarding his staff. I do believe due to the lack of performance our $2000 should be refunded. This sort of agent plays with people’s lives. A very disappointing experience. I ended up selling our property privately myself for more than our asking price. Do your research and ask around before committing to agents.

Daniel M. (owner) and his employee Jessica S are selling a property in Quirindi. I drove 7 hrs straight keen to see the property with my 78yr old mother only to find Jessica S. deliberately deceived and mislead me about several things. She fails to mention the property has a commercial lease that takes up over a third of the building with possibly 3 years to go on it in her ad or to me in person on the phone despite me explaining I wanted the property vacant to live in. She new I was coming a long long way to view the property and said nothing! The ad implies the two tenanted flats have an income of $32,500 per year that is also not true, that is how much the property makes including the commercial lease. And if that wasn't bad enough when I got there and discovered the 2 main rooms of the building were actually leased for possibly another 3 years and she had failed to mention that she didn't even have the decency to apologise. I left exhausted after my 7 hour drive and furious. I tried to email Daniel M. to find out what was actually happening with the property because Jessica S could clearly not be trusted or had another agenda, but never got a reply from him. So I tried calling him and left a message but he didn't even care enough to call me back in person. The way Jessica S. treated me was disgraceful. And the way my complaint was handled just as bad. Beware of Jessica S. and McCulloch Agency they cannot be trusted.
