Merry Street Restaurant & Bar

My partner surprised me with a Birthday Dinner about 2 weeks ago now. We weren't sure what to expect as we lived 3.5hrs away. The front of house was so lovely and greeted us with her lovely smile and warm welcome. We met Chef Filippo, young and talented Italian Chef who's worked at Michelin restaurants before coming to Australia. The restaurant newly decorated felt so warm and inviting. The food was fantastic and delectable. It was what you'd hope to come out for a dègustation experience. Chef Filippo shared his recipes as he placed the food on our tables. He explained how it was made and what fresh produce he used to make the lovely plates. We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 course menu that evening. It was an experience we will never forget. We have already recommended family and friends. Thanks Chef Filippo and to the rest of the team. You guys are amazing, keep up the great work you already do for the small town and to the community who cannot find high end restaurant like yours.

We love coming here to enjoy our New Years Eve, it has always been an awesome experience! The food is absolutely amazing and you couldn’t ask for better customer service and engagement. Thank you Allison and Jean for another gorgeous evening! 🥂

Wonderful service, amazing food, well worth the drive. Visited for lunch and was blown away by the seafood options and well thought out winter menu.

Garlic bread was crunchy on top, nice amount of garlic and butter could still taste the bread. Prawn and chorzio linguine was smokey, rich, filling and well balanced. Beef ragu had an amazing depth of flavour, rich and pleasing in the mouth. Sticky date pudding was flavourful and balanced with the sauce. The special Mexican chocolate cake with custard and tequila butterscotch sauce was genuis.

Every bite of food was delicious, well worth the price and the journey off the beaten track. Thank you for an amazing meal

Wonderful gem hidden along the south coast at Merry Beach. Allison is such a welcoming owner and is all smiles even when it's busy and Audrey has the loveliest phone manner and welcomes you with a bubbly sweet attitude when you arrive. The food was delicious, with delicious wine options and the service was above and beyond.

My partner and I arrived without a booking and did not realise we had to book as the place was full. Alison greeted us and was super lovely, atmosphere was great. She advised us they were fully booked but she could seat us outside on the terrace but its a bit windy. Tell you what, it was the best seat in the house in our opinion. Could see the beach and Kangaroos infront of us and was absolutely stunning.

Amazing food and amazing staff. Definitely recommend eating here.

Everything was fantastic!!!! Sumptuous meal and GREAT service. We absolutely love the Linguine Prawn Pasta for Main and the Garlic Prawn | Garlic Bread for entree. Sooo Delish.

This place is a Gem … I don’t have words to express how happy I am that I found this place and had an amazing experience. Food was absolutely delicious, cooked with perfection.

Such a find!! Food was delicious and service great! So welcoming. Highly recommend and look out for their soon to be opened Prickly Pear at Milton - sure to be another winner!!

Hands down, the best pasta I've ever tasted can be found in this little hidden gem of a place!
Not much going on with their simple decor and modest seating but don't let that fool you. The prawn and chorizo linguine they serve is to die for. Our friends said the same thing when we drag em here. We recommend the lamb burger and the mojitos are a must try as well. Great customer service and delicious food--worth every penny!
Please, do yourself a favour and visit this place when you're in the area, you won't regret it.

Very inviting, great food and relaxing.

We had dinner here and loved every minute. The staff were so friendly and the food was amazing, especially the creme brulee. Our kids loved drawing on the paper table covers and their meals were delicious too. We look forward to our next visit, whenever that may be.

Last min call to see if they were open, and they were. Welcomed us with open arms! Great service and sensational food/desserts! We’re full and will be sleeping happily ☺

The food and atmosphere was Amazing and the table clothes that the kids can draw on and have their artwork displayed in store is brilliant ,it's the second time we have eaten there whilst on holidays and we will most definitely be back , 6 stars out of 5 lol

What a great family dinner at the Merry Street restaurant. Food was all delicious! Super fresh seafood, generous portions and the kids loved getting to decorate and draw on the table cloth. Definitely save room for the dessert too. Yum! The service was super friendly which just made it a lovely night out. You won’t be disappointed.

Customer service was fantastic. I and my partner had dinner there for 3 days straight. Food is beyond delicious. Still thinking of the garlic prawn and seafood board in my dream. They have such a beautiful deck overlooking sunset as well.

The risotto was sooo good. I recommend this 😉
