Professor Steven Boyages is one of Sydney's best clinicians. He is kind, caring & patient centric. A genuine decent professional clinician whom I greatly respect and have known for many many years.

Professor Steven Boyages has been a god send to me. He has helped me so much not just with his medical supervision but also with his caring attitude. I now have finally got my sugar levels under much better control. I have lost a considerable amount of weight which has also helped and I have a much better understanding of the foods I eat. This is a big thing for me as I have been a diabetic for over 30yrs and even though I tried so often I continuously failed. I never thought I would say this but …….I really look forward to my visits.

I have had 2 pregnancies with Gestational Diabetes managed with Prof Boyages. He has been a wonderful Dr to have by my side throughout both journeys. He is kind & understanding & a great source of knowledge. He doesn’t suffer fools so if you can be truthful, you have a great health professional on your hands. Even though his ideal foods list looked like impossible to follow, it worked wonders during my second pregnancy to manage Gestational diabetes. Dr. Steven was very professional and one of the amazing doctors I met in western sydney.

Following his strict dietary regime, and also with medication, I am now down to 83kg, and the effects of my type 2 Diabetes is well managed, down to 6.6.

I am so thankful for being referred to Dr Boyage. I first met Dr Boyage at the beginning of June 2020, as my type 2 diabetes ‘out of control’ and I was experiencing a range of nasty side effects from the medications I was taking to manage my diabetes. The aim of my appointment was to organise a regime of medications with the least amount of side effects as possible. My Hba1c was 9.1 and my fasting bgl 13.4. I weighed 93.3kg. Never in my wildest dreams would I think six months later, I would be taking no medications to manage my diabetes, I now weigh 68.1kg- that is a loss of 25kg! My Hba1c is 5.9 and fasting bgl 6.5.
