Jules by The Lake

If you're in Rathmines and you're hungry go to Jules by the Lake. The breakfasts are just huge. Luckily we didn't get the big breakfast which was $18 as the bacon and eggs with a hash brown $12 was so huge that we stared at our plates for a full 5 minutes before we even dared pick a knife and fork. One could guess that we couldn't finish anywhere near or meals. The eggs came in threes unless they took a liking to us and the bacon looked like half a box fell into the fry pan. There could have been four strips on my plate. The toast was an imperial inch thick and the hash brown was the size of my face.
The service was overly friendly to the point where I felt like a regular albeit not the quickest as the premises was very large and there were several tables requiring service before us. There seemed to be only one chef on the day we went but he managed quite well. It would be fabulous for parties or conferences and in fact that's exactly what was sitting at the next table to us. A book club or some sort of women's group who didn't know each other but were singing the praises of the restaurant during introductions.
Of course the view cannot be understated. After all we are eating by the lake with nothing in front of us but parkland and trees. Spectacular Vista on a nice day.
All in all this is the pick of the bunch if you're staying in the area.

Great Coffee. The Chef cooks eggs to perfection. I love the breakfast menu.

Would highly recommend their chicken schnitzel with garlic sauce, chips and salad or their salt and pepper squid. They have a lot of choices on the menu, which makes it good for a big group or family. The prices are reasonable to the portion sizes. The staff are awesome!.

Best place ever, and I can take my fur baby

I give this place full stars we only got takeaway milkshakes but the service was lovely and so were the shakes. We will back to test the menu with the whole family.

The service is so hospital and friendly. Not to mention the food fresh, fast, flavourful and free (Kids eat for free here some conditions do apply though ☺)!!!

Seriously, this Cafe is perfect it has great views, so do yourself a favour and head down for a coffee and incredible food!

We came to Jules after a morning exploring WWII Rathmines history. Feeling cold & hungry I was after a meal that would warm me up & fill my belly. I chose the lamb shanks with mash & veggies. I didn't know what to expect from this unassuming cafe. It was delicious! My meal was served piping hot & with a generous serving. The veggies were vibrant and full of flavour. The corn was sweet & juicy, the yummy mash was creamy, the lamb just fell off the bone, broccoli & cauliflower just perfect & the gravy complimented the dish nicely.

By the way, the cafe has clean decorated toilets that smell really nice, soft toilet paper & wonderful hand soap.

I recommend Jules by the Lake to everyone. You have to eat here people!!! I'll be back for sure if I'm in the area.

Dropped into Jules by the Lake recently with a friend after going for a drive checking out some of the local areas. We had tried stopping at a few places between Glendale, Warner’s bay and even Toronto but they were closed or didn’t look inviting.
On arriving the staff were very pleasant and inviting. They served us promptly and nothing was too much trouble. The food and cupolas were delicious and served as requested.
We sat there drinking a second cuppa each while having a chat and enjoying the beautiful view across the lake. Then only when I checked my watch did I realise it was outside of their lunch time hours and the staff had quietly and politely been packing up but at no stage had they asked us to leave or made us feel uncomfortable or unwelcome. We quickly finished our cuppas and went to pay while apologising for our ‘over stay’.
We purchased some take away cake, paid and were assured that it was not a bother that we more than welcome.
We went on our way happy with our choice of lunch venue and pleased we hadn’t settled at any of the other places on our travels.
Definitely will be going back for more visits.

Jules by The Lake is an outstanding restraunt where staff accomodate your every whim ......special diets ... no problem.
Friendly ,welcoming atmosphere, great choice of menus , great presentation and above all, great tasting wholesome food, more than enough to eat on every plate.
HIGHLY RECOMEND Darren and Julie to everyone for a great dining experience .

I've had several meals at Jules by the Lake. The food is amazing, the staff are so friendly, I take my business meetings down there for coffee during the day and they could not be more helpful.

Friendly greeting on arrival,my wife and I were escorted to our table by our waitress she was cheerful, polite and I could not fault the service entrees, mains,& desserts were brought out as you ordered them did not have to wait for food big servings and roomy decor our waitress couldn't do no wrong 5 stars to her and the cafe as an experience my wife and I would do again thank Jules by the lake.
