Discovering the culinary gems of Di Vino restaurant in Byron Bay, I embarked on a culinary journey that astounded my palate. With a chef hailing from Napoli and a waitress originating from Italy, my expectations were elevated, and I can confidently declare that they were not only met but exceeded. Having recently returned from dining meccas in London and Melbourne, I was pleasantly stunned to encounter pasta of such remarkable quality in this serene coastal enclave.

Di Vino's prowess transcends its size, surpassing even esteemed establishments in London. The pinnacle of my dining experience was the Lamb Ragu Pappardelle, a dish of unparalleled excellence. The discerning diner can readily discern that the pasta is crafted fresh each day, resulting in a sumptuous texture that complements the rich, savory ragu impeccably.

The King Prawn Chilli Pasta, an innovative concoction, tantalized my taste buds with its creativity. I suspect that the inclusion of kimchi chili, referred to as fermented chili, lends a distinct and piquant character to the dish. The sauce, bursting with flavor, hints at the meticulous use of prawn shells, an exceptionally rare touch that elevates the dining experience to unprecedented heights. So enamored was I with these culinary creations that I entertained the idea of ordering three pasta dishes for myself and my companion.

Di Vino's irresistible offerings beckon diners to overindulge, for one cannot be certain when they will have the privilege of returning to Byron Bay. The warm and welcoming demeanor of our waitress, Paula, harmoniously complemented the culinary mastery of Chef Lucia. Our impromptu visit to Byron proved serendipitous, granting us the chance to savor this exquisite dining experience. I eagerly anticipate the day when I can once again traverse the miles to Byron Bay and rekindle my affair with Di Vino, a culinary gem that outshines numerous Italian restaurants throughout the country.

In addition to the aforementioned delights, I also ventured into the realms of Casarecce with Pork and Fennel Ragu, a third plate in our feast of excess. My astonishment persisted as I encountered the rare digestif, Braulio, available in this charming establishment. This truly remarkable culinary sojourn at Di Vino in Byron Bay has left an indelible impression, and I look forward with great anticipation to my next rendezvous with their culinary offerings.

Food: 9/10 Amazing house made pasta. Pasta is cook to perfection with right level of bouncy ness to it. The cheese balls and tortellini are super delicious and well cooked.

Service: 7/10 Staff is fairly attentive and provided responsive service

Value: 8/10 Price reflect quality of food

Overall: 8/10 Will come back for the pasta.

Wow Factor: House made pasta

This restaurant was recommended to us after a poor experience at another restaurant. The food and service here was delicious and very reasonably priced. Wednesday was gnocchi night and the gnocchi was light and fluffy is a tasty sauce. Centrally located at the end of popular Bay lane and highly recommended.

We had a delicious authentic Italian dinner. The menu is well thought out and the dishes are cooked to perfection. Real Italian execution.

After a stroll along the beach, we wanted a glass of red wine before calling it a night. We came across De Vino which looked very interesting. They were busy with the dinner rush, however the lovely staff found us a table and talked us through their delightful Italian wine list. We enjoyed our glasses of wine and would love to come back for dinner. The menu looked awesome and the guests looked happy and satisfied with their dinner.

Paula the manager was so inviting and welcoming eventhough I came late and kitchen was closed. They then made me the most delicious Spaghetti Vongole. Was a fantastic 👏 experience.
I went back a second time ...2x in 3 days, and the other manager Melody was so lovely and attentive. Definitely a restaurant to go to, to feel welcomed in true tradition of hospitality Thank you Di Vino m, I'll be back next time I visit Byron ❤.

Best Italian restaurant in Byron Bay! I've been here twice and it was always an amazing experience! Good and friendly service! You can really taste the Italian cuisine. I really felt home tasting their delicious dishes. I highly recommend this place become I love it!!!

We absolutely loved our meals here!
We just had very simple sourdough bread with olive oil and salt as a starter, amazing quality! And a simple pasta with tomatoes plate as a main dish, simple but so well done. Staff was also super lovely, a great experience.

From arriving and greeting, we loved it.
My husband had the pork sausage pasta and I had a beef cheek ragu. The flavours were amazing.
The staff made the experience even better, they were attentive but not intrusive.

Had the pumpkin ravioli (butter and sage sauce 😮) and the lamb ragu and ohh man this place is good. The staff took great care of us. Super appreciated.

This is legit the best Italian food we have ever had. We had the lamb ragu and spaghetti agio olio and couldn’t fault either dish. The winter pasta menu is super affordable and the food is top quality. Thanks to the staff for being accomodating with dietary requirements. We’ll be back and would visit Byron specifically to eat here it’s that good.

I will come back to this restaurant in a heartbeat! If you are looking for an authentic good quality Italian meal,’look no further. Had their Paccheri Ragu and hubby ordered their Burnt Eggplant risotto and they were both divine. Entrees we’re equally delicious. Now having my delish desert. Service is great too. It’s a 6/5 for me.
