Paragon Cafe

We came to the Paragon Cafe for breakfast, I haven’t been here since I was 12. The atmosphere and even the decor looks the same, in saying that it’s not a bad thing.

Our server Donna was amazing, a big “Gold Star” 🌟. Very attentive and just that good old country charm.

The food was just yum and huge portions. Hopefully it won’t be as long till next time I return.

We love eating here whenever we pass through Goulburn, we love all the food on the menu. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend this place to everyone and the Toasted Egg and Bacon sandwich with Chips is always fantastic.

Great surprise find on my first trip to Goulburn. Great service, food and venue. Will be back again for sure.

My wife and I stopped in on a Saturday night for dinner. We got the chicken schnitzel and chicken schnitzel burger (both with chips). Really excellent food - tender/tasty schnitzel and brilliant thick cut chips. We also didn’t have to wait long. The staff were really friendly and accommodating to us having a 3 month old baby (eg picking a warm table on a cold night). The relaxed old school diner atmosphere is really unique. We will definitely be back! A+++

I had dinner at the Paragon on January 30, 2023, when I stayed the night in Goulburn while driving from Phillip Island to Sydney. I had the lasagna, which I highly recommend. Plenty of parking, good food, and quick service. It's a great place to visit if you're passing through or staying the night in Goulburn.

First visit for me. Heaps of menu items to choose from plus an extensive gluten free menu.
We had the veal with prawns/chicken Madagascar for mains. Both delicious!! My veal was so tasty that I had to force myself to slow down eating. Just perfect.
For dessert we both had the pavlova sundae.
BIGGEST and most impressive looking dessert I have ever ordered!
We were both absolutely full by the end of the meal plus 1 x soft drink, 1 x piccolo of sparkling AND a very good latté.
Is situated across from Goulburn Performing Arts Centre making it very handy as our pre-show dinner birthday treat.
Every staff member was smiling, welcoming and easy to talk to. Nothing was a problem. Special shout out to ABIGAIL, our waitress who was happy and extremely helpful.
Will be returning very soon.

Absolutely love the cafe. Been in business since the 40’s and still has the feel about it. The staff have always been lovely and table service for everything. From the menu just about everything including the sauces are made in house. It’s a must if your going through Goulburn, is recommend it as high as stopping at the big Marino.

What a quaint cafe! My poached eggs I. Toast was cooked to perfection! Finally a cafe that realises you don’t need 4 pieces of toast for 2 eggs! Iced latte was a great size. Amazing yummy cinnamon toast. I’ve never had that before! Tasted great. Long black was delicious according to my aficionado Coffee partner. Cute little sweet treat section. Take a little break in this beautiful and old cafe. Then head down street to see the big Ram!

The wait staff were absolutely lovely & jumped at our every need. They had some fun with our 1 year old and made us feel very welcome and looked after. The food was great and very large portions. (The lady in all black with long blonde hair who took payment wasn’t very nice). The decor is so nice and well up-kept. I was shocked as the front did not give any indication of how nice the interior was. Everything was clean including the bathrooms. All in all, extremely happy we visited.

The iconic Paragon never disappoints. It's serves country meals that are always perfection. Service is excellent, like it was in the good old days. If you're in Goulburn, you have to stop at the Paragon, if only for an old style milkshake!!

It was a lovely place for a Saturday lunch. It wasn't busy, the staff were great, and the food was tasty. They have a wide variety of menu options so there will likely be something for every one. I had the eggs Benedict, the hollandaise sauce was great, but the poached eggs were slightly over (they could have been a little more runny) but I'd still go back and have them again.

We had a really good meal for four people. Abigail, our waitress, was extremely friendly and accommodating, helping us with all manners of extra requests. The Marinara pizza was excellent as were the two Paragon Pastas other members of our party ate. The 4th member of our party had the Mexican burger which she also enjoyed.

Very nice service paired with big size yummy dishes. We had a group member had twisted ankle. The waitress provided two packs of ice to help her. And all the dishes she recommended are so tasty. Love it!

What a Jolt to old memories as we traveled to the snow from Sydney many years ago and the Paragon was a must for stop on the journey. As I don't do the snow, and the freeway allows to bypass Goulborn, and the whole trip can done in one go, I miss the Paragon. The menu is huge, the food is fresh, and its delicious. BLT , a coffee, or a Streak, all recommended and worth the drive. Check my photos of the food, drinks, and alcohol menus. A joy to behold. Make the trip and see The Paragon.

Absolutely awesome hamburger with egg and cheese. Minimum chips with it was massive and was more than I could eat.
People serving were lovely and friendly.
Service was quick and with a smile.
Food was very good value.

This is how you do it! Friendly and prompt service. Is it the experienced staffers? They just know how to get the job done during a busy time. Kitchen order was very good. Hardly any wait.

Always get fabulous service from Amy and the team at the paragon. They go to every effort to please and meet requests with a smile. And the good is fresh and delicious, with the nostalgia of days past! Thanks all, we will be back soon!
