Solid service and experience with the 1SIX8 team, especially Anthony at Wetherill Park.

I was recommended by a friend to see Anthony at this location, which turned out to be a great recommendation. I'll be returning to have Anthony as my barber moving forward.

Great vibe awesome cut by the guy with braces. They love to take their time though which is great when you are getting cut just not when you are waiting 😆

Haircut wasn’t that good in my opinion nor was the customer service for the following reasons:
1. When I entered there was very little communication with me as the two staff members were just reclining in their chairs speaking to another guy who I soon found out to be another client - fair enough but at least have some courtesy to properly address me and ask me what I'm after.
2. Throughout the haircut the bloke hardly said a word to me but continued to chat with the other guys in the shop - then only really spoke to me at the end of the cut for payment.
3. Upon payment the bloke quickly tapped a few things and added a $1.50 tip without asking me and got me to pay lol - I gave him the benefit of the doubt and this might've been a surcharge for the card but this should've been made clear. Also the cut was $40, from my experience, for a fade, usually barbers are charging from 25-35 and maybe extra for skin fades (which I didn't get). All in all this again comes down to communication.

Anyway I tried the shop based on the 13-14 good reviews here who are likely well known clients so this review hopefully goes out to the infrequent customer who may attend for a cut.

Walked in at 430 pm on a weekday and it was empty, guy sitting down starring at his phone 10 seconds later after I said something he popped his head up and said ha, I said what time are you closing mate need a haircut and beard trim. The guy replies we close at 6 pm and I say sweet I'll see you sometime after 5pm, his sweet. I come back at 532pm and same guy still head down looking at his phone stoned out of his head. Again a few seconds later he finally sees a 6ft 4 man towering over him and I tell him I'm ready for the hair cut and beard and he replies sorry we don't cut hair 1.5hrs before closing and I was baffled and I ask you sure he said yeah bosses orders. See till is closed, place was empty and he said if you have cash I'll cut your hair. I said no I use card only. So I left baffled why a business offers no service 1.5hrs before they close everyday and that's including weekends. You are making it way to obvious, doing what you are doing! I've never wanted to give a business -5 stars and if this Asian guy even is speaking from the bosses mouth and if he isn't then boss knows exactly what to do!.
