The Camellia Chinese Restaurant

A great little restaurant in a great little town! The Camelia, which based on its decor has graced the town of Goulburn for decades, has a wide array of Chinese delicacies, and is open for lunch and dinner. Especially wonderful are the lunch time specials. Apart from the small irk of having to pay cash for the lunch special (which seems to be a wider Goulburn thing), everything else was simply perfect, and I’d return to the Camelia in a heartbeat when I’m next in Goulburn!

My husband and I were on our way home to Phillip Island and had booked in to stay in Goulburn for the night and had no clue where to eat. Looked up best Chinese in Goulburn and The Camelia popped up. The friendly smiling waitress Recommended a couple of dishes - Golden Bags for entree were to die for, special fried rice & the crispy steak with Cantonese sauce was amazing, and the chicken dish was superb. I have to agree it was the best Chinese I have had in long long time.

Food; thoughtfully made, accurate flavours to dishes style and good use of simple and fresh ingredients.
Grabbed takeaway enroute to ACT, ordered crispy noodles with Tofu Mushroom stir fry, such clever packing as the crispy noodles were packed on in their own moisture free paper bag.
Brilliant team who looked after the ordering process with detail and care.

Absolutely wonderful. Won’t go anywhere else in Goulburn now. The food is just brilliant. Cindy the owner is just beautiful. (Also tired of seeing her being lied about) what rubbish!!! I am a very loyal new customer, and I take all my friends here. Absolutely LOVE! And people If your expecting a Chinese restaurant to not more than likely use msg? That’s like asking Bunnings if they use snags in there sausage sizzles! Can’t eat it, don’t consume it. That simple. AAAAA+++++

Always loved the idea of having Satay Chicken but never found one I liked. Til I started going to The Camellia. Not only do I love their Satay Chicken they go outta their way to make sure it’s made exactly how I like it. Been going there for years and Satay Chicken is always my go to. Great food, great prices very friendly and accomodating couldn’t ask for any better.

Salt and chilli dishes are amazing! Would totally recommend it.

We always visit this restaurant when we are in Goulburn. The food is always outstanding with very friendly service. Not to mention that it is very affordable. I recommend it to friends when they visit Goulburn.

This is my go to for good Chinese food. The service is always nice, the ladies there are lovely. I probably eat there food once a week, and to my memory, I havnt had bad food from here. I highly recommend, but sometimes the wait times are a little high. But they are very popular and I think that it's a given.

Haven't visited here yet. But, after dining on Tommy's food at Charisma Chinese, Marulan -We can't wait to eat here. Tommy is the BEST BY FAR Chinese chef we have ever known. We loved his cooking so much that, we have been searching for him since, Charisma closed.

Our family and I really enjoys this place. The food is delicious and consistent, staff are very friendly and there's always a few toys to keep the kids busy even though it is never a long wait for the food.

As a Sydney resident, country NSW Chinese food is a rare delicacy. This was some of the best country Chinese food I've ever had. It brought me back to my childhood. Absolutely try if you're passing through Goulburn.

Food was fabulous. I usually order takeaway special but tonight was the first time i ate in. I'll definately be back and would highly recommend.
