Every time I get my hair done at this salon I am super impressed by their work. The staff are friendly. The salon has such a fun vibe to it! I am always happy with my hair when I walk out. Well done to the Hair By Montana team in Strathfield for great service and an amazing experience!

Terrible experience with hairdresser Amelia for many reasons. I went for hair colouring and a haircut. To start with, I haven’t even been offered anything to drink at the beginning which you would expect if you pay 400$ for a visit. She offered me a hair colouring technique based on what would bring her the best income, not listening to what my desired haircut and colour would be. Now my hair looks terrible and has never been so dry in my entire life. It will take a few months to get back to normal. She was arrogant and spent a lot of time on her phone. The haircut took her 5 minutes, clearly not having an idea of how to do layered hair. To sum up - money wasted.

I came in for a haircut and a blow-dry and we agreed on a price of $85. Throughout my haircut she was busy on her phone and was making calls and trying to arrange other customers. My hair cut was nothing special. She asked me if I was wanting a straight blow dry or curl and when I said curl, she chose to use a rod rather than a blow dry and, without making this clear beforehand, charged me $110. The lack of communication is not a good customer experience. That was my first and last experience with Hair by Montana.

Prepare to be ripped off and made to feel uncomfortable. Went in for a colour, cut and blow dry and came out with a nightmare. BEWARE. There are plenty of other hair dressers that won’t take advantage of you. Wish I could turn back time and save my bleached now crispy hair.

I booked an appointment with this salon three weeks in advance on the basis that it was located in Strathfield as stated on google and the website. I was asked to pay a $100 deposit which I immediately paid. A few minutes after booking I went on the instagram page and noticed that the location is in seven hills. I checked with the hairdresser and she confirmed that it was in seven hills. I knew it would not be possible for me to make the appointment as I wouldn’t have enough time prior to my event. Nine minutes after booking and paying the deposit, I messaged letting them know that I can’t make the appointment and requested a refund. I thought this would be quite an easy solution given that they were in no way inconvenienced by my cancellation since it had only been booked for 9 minutes. I received no reply from them for a week. After this time I followed up and received a response that they are unable to send my deposit back and that they would give me a credit note. I responded that this was terrible customer service and reiterated that their website has a address in Strathfield, but again no reply was received. The only time I received a response was when a family member commented on the instagram page to ask for the money to be returned on a public forum. They finally agreed to return the money and said it would be received on Monday. The money has still not been returned and she has blocked me and my family member on instagram. This isn’t about the money but the principle, I have never seen such appalling customer service. I can confidently say that I have no interest in a credit note as I will never attend this salon.
