Hunter Valley YHA

Location is great for exploring wine country by car. The property is beautiful and well looked after with lots of common areas to hang out, eat and enjoy a bottle or 2 with friends. Beds are very comfy, the hostel has everything you could need and more. Great to see everything looking so green and lush after the rain too!

Here you have clean, comfortable, modern accommodation with excellent amenities including a spacious commercial grade kitchen and living dining area, outdoor BBQ and pizza kitchen, hammocks and a swimming pool, all for a fraction of the cost of other accommodations in the area. The location is second to none in the middle of the world class Hunter Valley wine region with vineyards at your doorstep.

Hostel was quiet and cozy. We had a wine tour pick us up right out front, which was very convenient. There weren't any heaters in the room and we were there in the winter, so it was a bit chilly. The staff was really nice.

Great place to stay when you want to explore Hunter Valley. The rooms are clean and cosy, with an amazing views. There is communal area with well equipped kitchen, car parc, barbeque area and a swimming pool. You can rent bicycles and go for a ride amongst beautiful countryside. Nigel, who works there, is really helpful and informative. I would highly recommend all the backpacker to go and visit an other side of Australia (not just coast and beaches).

Outdoor pool and bbq, very nice, new and clean facilities, staff is awesome, only drawback was that the rooms was very warm and just a fan to cool down

After arriving well past business hours, even though the the YHA had closed for the day i was still able to get a room, thanks to the understanding nature of the gentleman that was working the evening.
