Italian Flat

Great base camp for the Dargo area with close access to Grant, Talbotville and many 4WD tracks. Collingwood Spur track, Crooked River track, Bulltown Spur track and back home is about 4 hour round trip from here, taking time to stop and have a cuppa. Great spot with quite a few campsites with various fire pit options and picnic tables. Drop toilet was pretty clean with the exception of a large crushed spider under the seat ha ha. Dargo river right next to camp but you can't really see it from most of the sites.

Great camping spot right next to the river

A stunning campground located near a beautiful river and provides easy access to the river.
We could find more than enough camping spaces.There was no telephone reception, (even for Telstra) plus side allowing for a much-needed disconnection from mobiles and a chance to fully immerse in the beauty of the nature. The river has several spots perfect for a swim. Keep in mind that the blackberries are not suitable for eating!!

Spent a few days here March, scored a awesome campsite close to the river , one drop toilet with a unusual sign on the door ,a lot of traffic kicking up dust but apart from that very enjoyable, will visit again ,

Really lovely place to stay, had a refreshing swim on the river, water was the perfect temperature. Calm and peaceful

Loved the place. Large flat and free camping areas. Good for groups. 1 toilet. Dirt road to get there but not far off bitumen. River runs past camp sites but some down a bank.

Excellent for 4wd and camping spot

We loved it here. The air was so fresh and the river was rolling it was so nice to be away from everything but still be close to the town of Dargo. Highly recommend also keeping it on the down low it’s a nice little secret spot.

Nice place for camping, easy water access, need few more toilets. Everything else is perfect.

Awesome spot if it's not too crowded

Beaut place to camp next to the river. Easily accessible and safe to swim for the kids. No cost to camp and fires allowed. Only 10 min to Dargo too.

Italian Flat is a good campsite on the Upper Dargo River. There are a couple of small, shallow swimming holes on the river. It has a long drop toilet.

Highly recommend this great spot! Highly recommend you do not tell anyone about this great spot..... Only a short drive into town for more supplies and also a short drive to relieve yourself at the Dargo Dunnies!

Great spot by the river. Good 4x4 tracks fishing camping. Xo
