Dargo Hotel

Charming rustic vibe with cozy rooms. Friendly staff and excellent pub food, especially the schnitzels. Perfect spot for a getaway or a stop during a 4x4 adventure in the high country. Highly recommend!

We stopped here after a trip out to Dargo, what a beautiful area!
As with all good pubs, the beer was cold and went down well. The food was great and the portions huge, I think our dog left with a full belly too as we were able to bring them into the garden area.
Obviously the pub is a victoriana icon and for good reason.

Absolutely best half parma, glad l didnt get the full one! Other menu items were excellent, as all plates returned empty, except for kids who got doggie bags. Great country atmosphere, a real fair dinkum pub experience. Highly reccomend!!

Got a cabin for the night on a 4x4 trip with my wife. Great old country pub with quirky deco, and the food is generous and tasty! Had a great night with the friendly locals in the bar, and the staff were hospitable and the service swift! The campground out the back seemed to get a bit wild as the night rolled on but it didn't bother us and it looked as everyone out there was having a great time anyway 😊
The log cabin was cozy and clean. Hope to return!

After camping out at Talbotville around the Labour Day Long Weekend, we headed for a much needed "real feed"and a few brews at the Dargo Hotel.
One thing about the pub is, it never disappoints!! The food is always fresh, of a large quantity and hits the spot every time! The day was bloody hot, so before getting dinner, we plunged ourselves into the Dargo River in the pub campground for a cool off.
We ate and drank in the beer garden on this balmy night and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and catch up with other fellow 4wd enthusiasts long into the cool of the evening.
Always friendly here, the staff a top notch and the drinks flow cool and refreshing like! Its what keeps drawing you back to this place! Had 3 seperate visits so far this year and definitely will be back again before the year is out!

Tim and the hotel was great for booking and meals there are mega.

Grant and general store has the works for bacon and egg burgers to adventure tyres. They have e it sorted.

Never been there before. Invited out for lunch. Just over an hour north of Bairnsdale. Take the Bairnsdale Dargo Rd. Very windy road up the hills. Be careful. Worth the drive. Great pub. Food fantastic - a bit pricey but huge meals. Value for money. Pub packed. Make a booking. Lots of 4 wheel drive vehicles there. Some were camping in the park behind the pub. The Hotel is a typical country Hotel in the town of Dargo. We will definitely go back. I'll drive next time, as my wife doesn't like windy roads.

pulled into dargo after a long days ride soaking wet after riding through rivers and rain . the staff were really welcoming upon arrival. i booked a room at inn across the road that they manage . rooms did the job nicely with comfortable beds , good shower, heating/cooling . i had a feed at the pub and it was huge and cooked to perfection . ill be aiming to be back there just to soak in the great atmosphere there !

What more can you say, an iconic pub in the high country, an absolute must travel to for all serious four wheel drivers. The food is amazing (seriously, how many variations on parma can you have). Bar staff are locals and not everything that you come to expect from a small country town. The locals are hilarious, the atmosphere is terrific. You have not been to the high country if you haven't dropped in here for a drink, a feed and a camp behind the pub.

An iconic pub probably thee pub of Victoria I love visiting out here the staff are great, drinks are cold, meals are filling and I usually find people to be pretty friendly

We enjoyed our meal at the Pub, good steak, great Parmy. Good choice of beers.

We stayed in a log cabin, it was cold inside, the AC barely took the -3 out of the air, lucky for the electric blanket, good hot shower.

The staff were friendly and helpful.

If you are in the area you must stop and have a meal and beer the place is full of history

First time visit and won’t be the last visit. The scotch fillet plate… was the best I’ve ever had… I’ve been around Victoria and into Adelaide, this beats them all… thank you to chef and staff

Camped down by the river. Good for a swim. Great meals at the pub.

Excellent service. Food extraordinary. Very very tasty. The room service boy Raju given extraordinary service.

Great little pub. Parma's were massive. Little bit pricey though.
