My recent visit to Big John's at Sans Souci was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment my work boss and I stepped through the doors, we were warmly welcomed by the delightful new owner, Terry, and the incredibly hospitable Dianne. Their genuine friendliness set the tone for what turned out to be an unforgettable dining experience.

Upon Terry's recommendation, we decided to try their new concept pizza, and let me tell you, it was a decision we didn't regret. We opted for the All Meats and J's Special varieties, and both pizzas exceeded our expectations in every way possible. It's safe to say that it was the best pizza I've ever had the pleasure of indulging in.

Today I came to get my usual pizza and in fact paid for my order and then told about a new pizza that had come out by the owner.

I was eager to try the new pizza so I changed my order and man it was the best change EVER. This is my new favourite pizza.

Thank you for the recommendation. It’s by far the best thing I’ve ever had. I honestly forgot what it’d called but it’s a three layered pizza.

Grilled Octopus is my favourite. Friendly staff, good service, and good food. You get all that in one place. Surprisingly, their long black coffee was one of the best coffee I've had in Sydney.

Been this place couple of years and just today realised something different. New Owners !
But I can still order my favorites - Amatriciana and supreme pizza. Great hospitality service provided by all staff members and Mr. Chris. Very impressive thank you for the great dinner and service. 😄👍🏻

Just had our first meal back at Big John’s in quite a while. Absolutely cannot speak highly enough about our meal and service. Chris was our waiter, and he couldn’t do any more to make our night perfect. Thank you so much ❤❤

Been a while since I’ve been here but after going tonight, I don’t know why it’s been so long. The food is always on point and the staff seem to be a little more attentive than usual. Thanks to the big dude manager for being so accomodating to my wife’s dietary requirements. It’s not often I leave reviews but tonight’s experience was worth sharing. Awesome job guys!!

It is the best tasting pizza in town! I ordered the supreme (for takeaway) and when they say it’s the lot it really is the lot. Toppings were plentiful and the size large was massive! I will Def be coming back for my future pizza fix!

Best late night pizza place in Sydney. Won't get any better for the price you pay here. Absolutely legendary.

The staff at Big John's are always friendly and the service is terrific as usual. The food is provided at high standard and arrives double quick. I have dined alot of restaurants in Sydney but I always come back to Big John's as the serving's are generous and never had any issues thru out the number of years I have been coming there . Also to the owner has the time to talk his csutomer's . Nothing but only high recommendation for this place ..

Looking the narky comments about the staff..We were a little hesitant.. We decided to ignore the comments and give it a go. The food was pretty good. We are glad we went. The veal was lovely and the toppings on the pizza was great.
Reasonable pricing, and generous servings. The staff were actually really nice, they were super busy and still found time to crack a joke here and there. Ignore the whingers on google reviews, their lack of patience and self entitlement during covid times astounds me.. Big john's nice little Pitt stop. We will be back. 😊

Went on a Saturday night (whoa they open til late) and both the service and foods were absolutely amazing! Price is so reasonable. They have good wine options but their House Red is soooo good, I really recommend it. The seafood platter for two is so massive, I think can share for 3-4 pax as we had the Sans Souci Pizza and Fettucine Boscaiola, too. My friend also had the steak and she enjoyed it, too! Service is amazing, very friendly and they do check your table from time to time. Amazing experience!

Nothing but great things to say about Big John’s. Food was unreal and service was top notch. Couldn’t recommend more (especially after the spaghetti gamberi and marinara… and let’s not start with the tiramisu)! Will definitely be going back!

Wonderful dining experience in The Big John classic Italian restaurant.
The fettuccine boscaiola is the best with perfectly cooked pasta and rich creamy sauce.
Big John special pizza is also very tasty and fulfilling with generous portions and ingredients.
Chilli oil, Garlic oil and grated Parmesan cheese are available on the table directly.
Electronic payment is available but will be free of surcharge when the total bill is above $50.
