Dosa Hut - Indian Multi Cuisine Restaurant Canberra CBD

As a lover of Indian cuisine, this is a favourite of mine in Canberra.

I usually find myself here ordering their delicious dosa. Their sambar is sooo good. And everything else I've ordered here has been great, too.

Service is nice if a bit awkward. Also, despite having eaten biryani hundreds of times over the years, it was an older lady at this place who taught me how to eat it properly :)

Went for dinner last night and the food was beautifully presented, the staff were very friendly and there’s a huge selection of food to choose from!

I tried things I wouldn’t normally have tried and it paid off. I’m not sure what they did with the naan but it was the best garlic naan I’ve had in a long time.

Would highly recommend going if you feel like something different.

We visited the restaurant last night and ordered few vegetarian starters and mains.

We were served some chicken starter, instead of Paneer Manchurian ( as in photo).. it looked odd to me as generally paneer is in cubical shape. I asked service staff and they said it is paneer, I took a bite and knew straight away that it was not paneer.

I asked staff to double check what it was, they confirmed from kitchen staff that it was chicken and apologized to me. Service staff appeared to be genuinely sorry about the error and then served paneer starter as ordered. I was not happy with this experience, but I understand mistakes do happen at every workplace.

We were not expecting it, but we were given a discount on our order by cashier staff and they apologized to us again.

Will visit again.. I would say the service was great, food was good and I hope we will be served the food that we ordered.

I would like to thanks Manju, for trying her best to accommodate my last minute notice. She has been patiently advised me on the suitable choice and quantity of food. The fact that I ordered food for 50 pax the day before, the food quality was great and everybody enjoyed it. They even accommodated my request for the food to be ready during their break hours.

Please consider Dosa Hut if you are looking for excellent food catering service. Kudos to the team.

Absolutely amazing food. Firstly, one knows from the moment they enter that this place is genuine Indian food due to the number of Indian customers. The atmosphere is great with good lighting and great acoustics supportive of relaxed conversation. Service was lightning fast. And then the food. Wow. 209 menu items! Simply the best Indian food I have had in Canberra. One can smell all the aromatic herbs and spices permeating through the restaurant and from the food as it arrives. All round a fantastic venue. We will return!

I've had the pleasure of dining at Dosa Hut every time I travel to Canberra and I must say, it is always an absolute delightful experience. The food at this restaurant is always amazing, each dish is bursting with authentic flavours and spices, do not pass on the Malai Kofta or Paneer Butter Masala.

First time in Canberra , Yes , here in Dosa Hut we eat the best curry and the chicken fried rice its just awesome flavor, yummy 😋

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I ordered the spring roll dosa with the paneer option and with vegetarian and nut free requirements. The staff were understanding of my dietary requirements and ensured my experience was just as authentic, exciting and memorable as other customers. I visited Dosa Hut Canberra for dinner tonight. What a pleasant surprise it was. The food was outstanding and the service was spot on. I have been to all Dosa Hut outlets in Sydney and visited 1 in Melbourne. Canberra being a small town, my expectations of finding good quality Indian food were super low. But I was absolutely shocked as I found this to be better than the outlets in Sydney or Melbourne. We ordered Dahi Vada, Paneer and naan, Mango Lassi and Ghee Dosa. Each item was yum. The sambar was the best I have ever had outside India. The Mango Lassi was delicious, the naan and panner was outstanding. Strongly recommended.

Great location and atmosphere. Food is great although could do with a bit more kick. Prices are very reasonable and service is very quick.
Starters came out straight away and the dosa followed in minutes. Masala chai also available with our without sugar so that was a plus.
Would definitely return with friend and family.

I came here for the lunch with my friend and we had biryani , pani puri and plain dosa and everything was so good authentic taste loved it am coming here next time for sure 🫶

Highly recommended Indian restaurant in Canberra.

Visited this place for lunch with my husband. We were delighted by South-Indian style main course with species and lots of flavors, extremely impressive for a vegetarian restaurant.
When we arrived at 1.30pm, we’d to wait for 5 minutes while they prepared the table. We didn’t make any reservation, but the restaurant was half full.
We ordered Idli sambar and schezwan veg fried rice.
We got our meal on table within 5mins of order. The delicious dishes, caring staff.
We left the with good feedback. Manager was very thoughtful and so does, rest of the staff members. We went out of the restaurant with a smile. Not only this, but we were there for 2 days in Canberra, but we had all our meals, breakfast, tea/coffee in Dosa Hut only😍😍
I’d love to visit the place again. You can go with your friends, family, partner or whosoever you wish to.

Delicious, authentic Indian food. Dosas are really well prepared and way bigger than Indian dosas. They have all curry classics. Affordable , good service , fresh food.

Well worth the effort. Great place with amazing food, sadly for me it was a lunch visit but looking forward to more enjoyable non rush dinner without my work mates watching the clock

I recently visited the Dosa Hut and had a great experience. The food was delicious, and the service was friendly and attentive. The staff was really nice especially there was one girl I think her name was harsh, she had an amazing customer service. The food was delicious. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Indian cuisine.
