Westpac Branch Manuka

BEST BRANCH MANAGER EVER.
I had an issue and walked out of this branch feeling let down by my bank and went home and wrote a complaint. Surprisingly i got a call back from the manager to discuss it. After talking i realized i was Wrong.( misinformation from 132 no.) ..but the manager still bent over backwards to help... Thank You.

TLDR: went in for a loan, left with closing my accounts the following evening.

I visited the branch to discuss loans and did not have a positive experience.

No staff where at the front desk, so I took a seat and I didn't get served until around 10 minutes later when someone from behind the counter yelled at me.

I explained to them my situation and I needed to chat to some one about loans and the whole time they pushed me to go online and that they didn't do that instore any more. I explained to them I was told I could by the call centre which was met with an eye roll and a your wrong. I was told to take a seat if I wanted to wait to be told the same thing by someone different.

I said that was fine I was happy to wait so I took a seat. A few minutes later I heard someone else yelling again I presumed with was the lady again but for someone else, then she yelled again and I realised it was me. She gave me a heads up id need some paper work for what I needed and it was lathered in sarcasm and Sass.

She then proceeded to show everyone else who came in after me (while giving them the same attitude to them as was shown to me) to a banker/account staff before me.

Manager came and spoke to me about the loan and the issues I was having. During the discussion there was a clear history between the woman who yelled at me and the manager as she was stubborn and defensive during the interaction. Manger was very loverly and clearly working off her feet to keep with the other women.

I've sadly decided to close my accounts with Westpac after this interaction as it's not been the first time i have experienced this with them. I had been a customer for the past 20 years and they where my first bank and it is sad to say goodbye due to staff.

Westpac more like Worstsnac!
