Metro Bakery and Cafe in Mount Gambier, SA, is exceptional. The food is fantastic, with lovely pastries that are both fresh and delicious. Their breakfast is amazing, making it the perfect spot to start your day. Highly recommended!

Metro Bakery $ Cafe provides high quality coffee, and the food portion size is so big, which really surprised me. The food also tastes delicious. The hash browns they used sliced potatoes to deep fried, which is so different and nice. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the whole cafe atmosphere is very comfortable.

Recently dined in at Metro and had their ‘Big Breakfast’ with a chai latte. Their breakfast was great, very filling and well seasoned. The service is always amazing 😊☺

This place is amazing. We went to have a look at the murals in the back alley. The whole place has such a vibe. Ended up with coffee and cake. Cake was divine. Coffee was excellent. The staff were so helpful, friendly and the service was very prompt.

We ordered the "Ful Medamas" (vegan) and the "Breakfast Gnocchi" (not vegan). They have really lovely service here and the food tasted great. My husband adored the gnocchi (though it was a little on the oily side) and I loved the vegan option. Very filling! The coffee is also delicious.

Metro Bakery & Cafe is a trendy cafe/restaurant/bakery with an amazing atmosphere, fantastic food and stellar service. The staff here are all so welcoming and friendly.

There is a breakfast menu and lunch menu with hot and cold beverages and a licensed bar area for alcoholic drinks and cocktails.

They also bake many different and wonderful loaves of bread which is available for sale.

Indoor and outdoor seating is available. It is a huge venue with seating both out the front and out the back, with the back outdoor area also doubling as a live music area for hire.

Great place to catch up with friends or to make some new friends!

Our lunch here was amazing. Fresh and tasty and beautifully presented. I highly recommend visiting Metro Cafe & Bakery for a coffee, meal, desserts and freshly baked loaves of bread.

I will definitely be visiting here again.

Feb2021 Great coffee and sweet treats we had for take away a few days. This place is an artistic visual delight. Fast and friendly service by happy staff. I’ve been here several times while working in the area, normally prompt service. but not today, waited almost 10 min for a take away coffee. Lose a star because take away coffee made after many dine ins.

Amazing dish and great customer service. Friendly staff. They told me that my order can not be fulfilled because they're out of one of the ingredient, so they compensate by asking me to choose whatever is on the menu - on the house. (Free). Can't complain.

What a beautiful foods and customer service. They are the best in mount Gambier. They have lovely and friendly staff with amazing meals which you will enjoy bit by bit. I recommend them to anyone visiting mount Gambier or who lives in there which I am pretty sure they are well known. Also, I fell in love with beautiful indoor designs.

Wonderful brunch. I thought it to be more like a cafe than a bakery, but the kitchen was fantastic with great menu (both brekky & lunch) and generous portion sizes. The barista is great too, enjoyed the espressos and silky flat whites.
Gets super busy, so plan ahead especially on weekends. They do take bookings for large groups

I love local bakeries and Metro Bakery nails the coffee and the pastries. Wish we were eating here for breakfast few times to check out everything because coffee alone was ridiculously delicious. The coffee beans were rich and dark, and the oat milk they used was the best. Honestly one of the best lattes I have had. Now we also ordered the almond croissants, while they were good compared to few I have had, these were a bit too sweet. It wasn't necessary to add that much custard sugar on top of it. Other than that they were still delicious. I highly recommend you check out this place for breakfast.

A visit to Mount Gambier is incomplete without a stop (or two) at Metro. Over the years, we’ve sampled their coffee, almond croissants, chips, sangria, risotto, falafels, chicken.. And not once have we been disappointed. The portions are huge and staff are friendly and supportive even at their busiest. Good service, good food and good prices. What more could you want?

I was visiting Mount Gambier and this beautiful bakery is in the heart of the town🍞. I had a delicious Dark Rye Reuben and a latte, both very delicious 🤤. The atmosphere is charming and the staff is very friendly🤩. Do not hesitate to visit this bakery with your family or friends👌🏻!

Highly recommended place for breakfast. Staffs are friendly, food tastes fresh and great. We mistakenly ordered a dish with Ham. When returned, they fully refund the money without any hesitation. Such customer care is much appreciated. Will revisit without any doubts.

A quick visit for a coffee and delicious blueberry tart. Seriously soooo good. Soft, creamy custard with a slightly sour berry jam, topped with a mountain of perfect, popping blueberries. Heaven. My friend found it hard to choose between all the wicked cakes and pastries. Opted for a crazy delicious caramel cronut. Friendly, fast service as usual by the wonderful Mark. My favorite barista Myah made my perfect coffeeee ☕. Too early for evening meal but not toooo late for a late afternoon pick me up! Metro has extended hours so it's one of the few places in Mount Gambier to offer cafe and bar service after 3pm. Funky outdoor space which gives shelter for 4 legged friends.

First time there and had Chicken and corn soup with bread. Amazing taste and the fresh bread was amazing. Mars bar cheese cake was to die for. Highly recommend this place and will definitely come back.
