姑苏缘面饭馆 Gusu Restaurant

Had the stewed beef brisket noodle soup. Soup was nice with slight herbal smell, beef tasted good and melt in your mouth.

Service was fast, probably due to end of lunch hour. Condiments of black vinegar, soy sauce and fried chilli oil were available to experiment with.

So tasty as always. We’ve followed them from the Gold Coast to Brisbane.

Fantastic food, superb value, along with genuine service and care for customers.

Shanghainese friend testified the noodle and xiaolong was really good. I know some noodle lover would cry but you need to understand this is wuyue style noodle soup not ramen or pasta or udon or Cantonese noodles already commonly available in every food court. Service is cult-like style. No human interaction is the highest service. If any, it would be awkward and stiff.

Very nice noodles, didn’t think I was going to finish but I did. Enjoyed the broth. Wish they had more green veggies on the menu.

Honestly it’s a great noodle restaurant, despite the texture still being a little different from the authentic Suzhou cuisine. While I sat beside the door, the breeze was blowing in my face, it just like I sitting in the hometown’s restaurant again. Thx Gusu, the feeling is irreplaceable.

My favorite noodles in AUSTRALIA!!!! Great value and taste good 😊 highly recommended to everyone.

The noodles is good as before in Gold Coast. The long wait is true but worth waiting.

是江浙沪喜欢的面条口味，我点了雪菜肉丝面，很美味！价格也实惠！下次再试试其他面。还有，店面看上去卫生干净。

A Noodle place specialised in noodle from a particular region of China. Also a new thing for me.

Soup base is ok, not too salty but definitely got MSG in it. Overall flavour profile quite light and not the normal bone based soup.
Only thin noodle is offered and there r no such thing as Al dente when it comes to thin noodles … expect soft style rather than chewy.
The Shanghai dumplings r good with strong glutinous rice smell.
The xiao long bao is too sweet .. ?too much sugar in it. Didn’t like it very much.

Overall it appears you have to be from that region of China in order to fully appreciate the food offered here (much like we all have a mother taste that will go straight to the inner soul if that food is served)
The important thing that’s different from many Asian places is that their kitchen and overall restaurant js quite clean. This may be because they just recently opened but hopefully that’s not the case and they can keep it up.

I see other people order stir fry noodles which looks tasty. Will be back to try those.

now to start off with, if you aren’t familiar with Suzhou cuisine, coming here will be a culture shock to you as their dishes are very different tasting and even looking to more commonly found Chinese dishes and cuisine here!✨👀

for example, Suzhou cuisine offers more umami and lighter broths instead of deep and intense flavors🥹🥰so if you’re into rich flavours, complex broths and flavors, you won’t find that much in this cuisine/restaurant, so just be mindful of that!🤍

my pork belly noodle soup was nice and the pork belly itself was soft and juicy🤤✨i liked their pork and bamboo side dish as well as their chicken too!🤤🤩

but i think my experience with Asian dishes has always been jam packed with flavour so this cuisine isn’t really down my alley, but for people from the province or used to cuisines similar to this, which apparently is many people considering the lines waiting outside this place, will love!💖🥰

conclusion, i still do recommend Gusu Restaurant, just because it’s not a cuisine i am used to, doesn’t mean many others won’t love it!🥰✨if you’re into homey broths and are eager to try authentic Suzhou dishes, check them out!🤍

从排队到吃完花了35分钟。经典的大排面，大排已经拍过所以很酥软了，素鸡炸的也很不错。面条做的不太筋道，不知道是不是原材料的问题。整体评价还是5星

sunnybank新开的苏式面馆，Google 评价上毁誉参半。
亲测一次。
​面是细面鲫鱼背，汤味精肯定放了不少，若是放一小勺猪油可能更好一些。大排是小块拍扁，裹上面粉炸过之后红烧的。味道不过不失吧。想到了小时候弄堂附近的面馆，质量不高但能管饱，味道也很神似。
小笼包实在有点不行了……
size像是无锡小笼，不知道老板是不是受到小杨生煎启发，汤汁十足。但就连我这喜欢甜口的人觉得味道过甜，肉馅也全散的……
总之，偶尔一试还行，特意去就算了吧。
