Horseshoe Bay Cafe

We came here on their Tuesday $20 pasta and palmy night. Luckily we booked a table as this place was pumping! Great value for money and yummy cheesecakes too for desert. The only critique I have is the queue was out the door which made ordering hard when you had to wait 20mins in line every time you wanted to order something as no table service. So people were lining up to see if they could get a table but also with people ordering food and also people ordering or picking up takeaways. It also slowed staff down as they had to squeeze through the queue so maybe try a better layout? Otherwise staff did an amazing job with how busy it was.

Every year we come to Bowen and this is on our breakfast stop. In past their food have been on a decline but I can’t believe the quality of the breakfast we had today! It was epic the big breakfast was insanely good and my wife loved the omelette!

If we weren’t leaving i would have been back! Until next year!!! I will be back

Today I had the best vegetarian burger of my life. The homemade corn fritters were so crispy, and the cheese, beetroot, coleslaw and tomato relish gave it so much more flavour. My partner had the entree calamari and said the sauce was super tasty (he wish he had more for dipping it was so good). Excellent beach front atmosphere, and lovely staff. Thank you so much!

What a hidden treasure! The atmosphere is perfect, right by the water. The food is amazing, especially the chicken mango salad. And on weekends, they have live music too! If you're in Bowen, you should definitely stop by for some coffee, beer or food. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

New chef has a fresh take on the menu. Coffee and cake are still delicious. My scone was a little too hard after being microwaved.

We had a wonderful night. Great music, atmosphere, long Island ice teas and the food was exceptional. Best meal we've had out in months. I had seafood linguine, it was full of delicious fresh seafood and the pasta was silky and all piping hot. Hubby had seafood parmi and it was excellent too. Couldn't fault it ❤

Looking for somewhere with super “fresh” cooked beautiful food, licensed, beachfront views, music, parking and exceptionally friendly staff AND dog friendly 🐶 Well you have just found it!! ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

We were there to have a quick lunch while exploring the region. I was amazed by the quality of the food. The pork belly salad was incredible ! Such a great surprise for a beach front restaurant.

My experience was positive. The staff were pleasant (although the odd smile wouldn't hurt). The coffee was excellent to my taste. The food (big breakfast) was of high quality. The display of cakes etc was wide ranging and certainly looked of high quality. The view is excellent.

The seating is a little more limited than I expected for a seaside cafe. The prices are maybe higher than expected - but then the location suggests the proprietors are paying a premium for the location while the limited seating will reduce the customer throughput.

As with most of the Whitsundays, the seating is all (shaded) open air, so the air temperature may be a problem come Summer.

Beautiful spot, ocean front, lovely service, and food quality is amazing. Pricey, however, to be expected for the location but worth it for a special treat.

Lovely iced espresso , yummy cakes , an awesome location in the beach car park . Worth the drive . Walk up to the lookout and down to the Murray Bay , great scenery along the way

Location can not be beat. Breakfast menu has all the regulars, from French toast to a full breakfast, all for a great price. On two visit had the herbivore breakfast, the pancakes and the breakfast burgers. Massive personal bonus spinach was wilted, if not it was specified as fresh (burgers). Pancakes were huge, and fluffy as described. A great side was the homemade hash browns/ croquettes, crispy outside and fluffy inside. Coffee was nice and drinkable

We enjoyed a delicious lunch at Horseshoe Bay Cafe which was made even more perfect taking in the magnificent view of Horseshoe Bay.

My chicken and mango salad was tasty as was my wife and daughters pizza. The service was friendly and food delivered quickly.

Highly recommended.

We had a delicious breakfast at this awesome little cafe that over looks the bay. The food was cooked spot on and service is quick and staff very polite. We will be back....

Second time at this fabulous Cafe . Stayed at the resort and went to the Cafe throughout our stay, amazing food service and the best friendly staff. BEST EVER RISOTTO EVER, especially the SCOLLOP RISOTTO. Do yourself a favour and go.

We stayed in Bowen for a few days within walking distance to this fabulous Cafe.
We were a large group of 24 who, on two days, enjoyed the delights this venue had to offer.
The coffee was great, food exactly what was ordered and arrived promptly.
The staff were accommodating and friendly even when bombarded with such a large group.
We celebrated my brother’s 70 birthday on the Saturday night and, again, food, service and atmosphere was amazing.
I would recommend you pop in and have a meal.
