Amazing Japanese food. Really yummy gyoza and udon. The customer service is super friendly and they were very hospitable. The food took a good amount if time to be ready and it was fresh and delicious. I love how it was open on a weekday when everything else was closed. Great location too coz it is close to wynard station. I highly recommend.

The place is nice and the ambiance as well. Staff attends to your orders almost immediately. Orders gets served almost within 5 mins. Quality of sashimi is excellent given the price youre paying, not too pricey compared to others. Highly recommended for people who likes sashimi buffet.

Had a great meal with very fast service. $32 buffet offered great value and variety. We especially liked the Agedashi tofu, sashimi salad and salmon with green tea noodles. The toppings on the nigiri were particularly thin but just check out how much salmon you get in the salmon avocado inside out rolls! We're coming back!!!

Since COVID-19 this place has upped their game with better food, better presentation, better service and price still the same... from memory.

We loved the unagi don, tender and tasty not chewy at all. The sashimi was excellent - big fat juicy slices!

I would definitely be going back!

Update 6/3/21 - went there again for lunch last week. It was past lunch hour - 3:30pm, chef was on break and the boss was eating lunch himself. When I ordered the sashimi don the boss was so kind to pause his late lunch to make my order! Not only that, but made a big bowl packed with sashimi slices! This place deserve to survive the pandemic. If you love Japanese food highly recommend you give it a try!

Amazing Japanese food. Great location, just three minutes walk to Wynyard Station. Went there 4 years ago with friends. The restaurant provided fresh ingredients and friendly customer service. We ordered 2 plates of Sushi combination. That was very impressing.

Came here with 5 friends and got the $35 all you can eat buffet. There’s more rice than ingredients in the sushi rolls which is to be expected considering the price. The Teriyaki beef was good and the fried chicken was also really nice. The staff was friendly and the food arrived very quickly.
Not fancy but you get what you pay for.

Can’t understand the bad reviews. This place is pretty ok! The staff is friendly, the food comes fast, they have a good variety and some fancy sushis, we barely covered half of the offering choices. Of course it’s an all you can eat so the food is not the finest but it’s decent. The salads are great. There are limitations but they make sense, like you can’t have just one person having the higher priced menu. The place was packed (Saturday 7pm). We walked out full and satisfied:)

I had Soyu Ramen and it was so good. I usually can't finish a whole bowl of ramen but I enjoyed this until last slurp! lol plus it's only $11.90

Always a great dining experience at Kansai. Most notable is the excellent customer service from staff. Food here is always serviced good. The buffet option is great for a group of people. Lunch or dinner is lovely with nice atmosphere. I've been coming since 2009 I think, and continue to come here for yummy Japanese food.

Great service, great food. We had a large group dine in and do the all you can eat option. Waiters were attentive and took our orders throughout the night. Food came out pretty quickly. Pretty good value.

Offering a wide array of sushi, sashimi and other Japanese dishes in an all you can eat style buffet for only $45? Count me in. The proposed experience did not dissapoint with Kansai having a tasty selection of special sushi rolls and fresh sashimi to order from. Now I won't lie and say it's the best sushi or sashimi out there, you can't expect the best at an all you can eat buffet for just $45. But do you get your moneys worth? Hell yeah you do, so if you're looking to chow down on some good ol Japanese with some friends or family then Kansai is the place to be!

Their sushi is quite large and very generously packed with fillings. Never seen such generous servings with the sushi back in adelaide and I eat a LOT of sushi. Price is still kept at a good price despite. The Japanese green tea was good too :)

I can not recommend this place enough! I come here once a week for a plain avocado roll, it is made fresh and tastes DELICIOUS! The cost is very reasonable and the portion sizes are more than generous and they are not stingy on the fillings.
I wouldn't go anywhere else!
