We stayed 2 nights in one of the eco tents with toilet and it was fabulous. Accommodation was clean and very comfortable, the food at the restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced - good portion sizes too. Karijini is stunning so the location is always a winner. The staff were fantastic, it’s lovely to be greeted with a smile and some chat and the team all seemed to enjoy working there. We ordered packed lunches for our days in the park and they were fab. Would definitely recommend this if (like us) your outback camping days are over…

Really great resort in the outback in Karijini National Park right next to Joffre Gorge. Very friendly accommodating staff. Was a great stay 👍😎😍
The restaurant is very good. Guided walks are offered.
A good starting point for exploring the national park.

We stayed for the opening weekend of the season. The staff were friendly, helpful and welcomed us with a huge smile each time we entered reception. The complementary continental breakfast was more than what was expected, with croissants, muffins and a ranges of teas. We had dinner in the restaurant one night and all 10 of us from the booking raved about our meals. For the price of $55 we had well and truely enough food. The flavours and presentation were exceptional. Thanks for a great weekend Eco Retreat!

This was a beautiful retreat in an incredible natural landscape. We expected camping with drop toilets but were also surprised by a bar, a small kiosk with ice creams (delightful in the desert heat), a whole restaurant as well as takeaway options, all accessible even if you're staying in your own tent. Great base to explore Karajini out of.

You basically have no choice in the middle of nowhere.
What we really enjoyed was the delux tent. A huge tent contains everything you need. A shower, toilet, that's luxurious in the outback. If you see anyone complaining about "no real window, not covered shower room," those are snowflakes and just shouldn't go exploring the outback.
The restaurant was impressive. Experienced chief and equipment made us the most exquisite dining experience ever.
Pork belly was second to none.
Beef, I'd skip it. It's not tender enough, probably because of the cut, not cooking skills.
Be reminded that everything here is expensive, like proportional to the distance to Perth. But things being expensive is not their problem, it's yours lol.

We visited the retreat with Adventure Tours and had a powered campsite. The time there was beautiful. You can hear the dingos howling and if you sleep in a swag outside they can come really close some time. The atmosphere in the retreat is really chill and sunsets and sunrises are beautiful. The Gorge nearby is lovely for a swim during a hot day and you can do a lot of hikes in the area. The flies were really annoying so take a flynet with you. But it's like that pretty much all over the West coast. You can charge your phone near the reception/bar. The food looked and smelled amazing, but we made dinner for ourselves so I can't really tell if it tastes good.
All in all we had 3 wonderful nights in the retreat and I would totally recommend it if you want to stay in karijini

Our luxury eco tent experience this weekend was fab. The room was well equipped and the package deal makes it no worries when thinking about food for our days out hiking. Our main highlight was dinner both nights which was delicious and full of flavour with high quality which only added to the uniqueness of the location. Also a thanks to all staff who were ever so helpful and interested in our daily adventures. Have a great season Karijini Eco Retreat team!

The staff could not have looked after me better.
We didn't stay in the accommodation but did have lunch and dinner. I stayed in the restaurant for the afternoon whilst my nephews went hiking. I have mobility issues and the staff were so kind and helpful to me. I also heard them with other customers, and they were just as fabulous with them.
Oh, and the food was amazing, would definitely recommend.
Thank you karijini eco resort

A great Glamping experience in May.
The food quality and service at Dining Room/Restaurant was top class in an out door setting.
A Gorge is right alongside the Eco Retreat , with reasonable fitness it is easy to access. Take footwear to wear in water.

If you're looking for a comfortable and eco-friendly base to explore the wonders of Karijini National Park, the Karijini Eco Retreat is an excellent option. However, be mindful of the potential for encountering snakes, especially if you have a phobia or concerns. and there is no reception which is perfect for off-grid experience

Had an amazing stay in the centre of Karijini National Park, staff was extremely friendly and helpful, tent was very cosy. Also different walks are possible within a few minutes from the retreat.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Karijini Eco Retreat in August 2023 and it was an unforgettable experience.

One of the highlights of our stay was the great restaurant area. We decided to indulge in a buffet dinner one night and it did not disappoint. Thank you Zac you are amazing waiter ;) The absence of lights added to the charm of the retreat, making it feel like you were truly in the middle of nowhere. The night sky was beautifully lit up by an array of sparkling stars, and we even had the opportunity to hear dingoes howling throughout the night.

I would highly recommend arriving during daylight hours to fully appreciate the stunning surroundings. The location of the retreat is ideal for exploring all the breathtaking gorges in the area, and the savanna tents provide a convenient and authentic way to experience the Australian outback.

The service provided by the Eco Retreat was exceptional. From the helpful staff to the quality food, we were truly impressed. The hot showers and flushing toilets were greatly appreciated, especially considering the remoteness of the location.

Exploring the park and its spectacular gorges was a highlight of our stay. However, I would have appreciated more information about the swimming holes and a strong recommendation to bring reef shoes for optimal exploration.

In conclusion, I would definitely return to the Karijini Eco Retreat and highly recommend it to anyone visiting this part of Australia. The tented village offers a unique and immersive experience in the Karijini National Park. Just make sure to pack extra layers for the chilly mornings and consider bringing a heater if you're not a fan of the cold. Overall, it was an authentic and unforgettable outback adventure.

We absolutely loved our stay here in August 2022. Unpowered and no water sites. They have toilets and showers.
A great restaurant area, we had a buffet dinner there one night.
No lights - which was perfect. You definitely felt like you were in the middle of nowhere. The sky was lit up by stars. We had the most amazing sunset. And could hear dingoes howling throughout the night. We got here late at night. Would suggest arriving in day light.

We stayed in a deluxe cabin this last weekend. Still lots of water in the gorges and not too hot. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The deluxe room is very well appointed and the air conditioning is very nice to have. The deluxe package is well worth the extra cost as you get a complimentary mini bar and cooked breakfast as well as a picnic hamper. The food at the resort is of high quality and the overall atmosphere very relaxed and welcoming. Would highly recommend this resort.

Lovely camping spot. An easy gorge within walking distance to swim at. The Eco Retreat provides great service, and quality food. Hot showers and flushing toilets. For how remote it is it's greatly appreciated.

Even watched a meteor burn up in the atmosphere, great show.

Well placed location to explore all gorges, savanna tents are very convenient way to experience the Australian outback.
Facilities are adequate for self catering.
You can enjoy a nice glass of wine during sunset in the bar.

This is an extra-ordinary, very beautiful place. SO worth a visit for at least 3-4 nights to experiece and see the main parts of Karijini National Park wilderness. The luxury eco tents are highly recommended and have all facilities one could wish for, with the exception of a fridge and kettle, although an 'eskie' is provided without ice (purchasable at main receprtion along with free boiling water to fill a provided flask). They do not come cheap however, but are worth it if you are not a great fan of camping or camper vanning. The accommodation is cleaned thoroughly between bookings and are spacious and comfortable. Large very good double bed plus 2 bunks in the family tents. En suite is small but fine. Tents are spaced 50-100 metres apart each with individual adjacent parking places.
Overall, as stated, they provide a delightful place to stay if camping or visiting in a camper is not your thing.
The Eco-retreat is well away from the visitor centre and Dale gorge, etc. By rough dirt road it is 32kms (c.40mins) or about 90kms by mainly sealed road (c.50mins driving)
The majority of the walks to and into gorges close to the Eco-retreat are grade 4 or 5 with one or 2 graded 3, whilst Dale Gorge Camp site arguably offers a range of walks, some slightly easier.
Be sure to either take extra fuel or ensure your tank is full before entering the Park & plan your driving with distances / fuel in mind! The nearest fuel to the Eco park is Tom Price (c.95kms) or Auskie (c.100kms)!

Excellent tented village in the Karijini NP. We stayed in a deluxe eco tent which had double bed and ensuite shower/toilet. The ensuite was actually outside, but only accessible from the tent and covered to make it part of the set up. It was really really cold in the mornings when we were there and I'd advise everyone to throw all the extra doonas and blankets on to the bed and make sure you have loads of extra layers for the morning. Staff were really nice and friendly -all young and learning though. Food was good, but service a bit slow sometimes. Get the packed lunches and cooked breakfasts as they were excellent. Loved the kangaroo steak at night. Lots of red dust everywhere as you would expect. Park and gorges were spectacular. I would like a bit more information about the swimming holes and a big recommendation to take reef shoes at all times when exploring. I would definitely come back but would love a heater for the mornings!
Recommend highly to anyone coming to this part of Australia
