Loved this quirky little park, the chooks and maggie welcoming committee, fabulous trees and tidy grounds. Chill out, be happy. This is a gem

Our experience matched that of previous reviews - hospitable owner with many wonderful suggestions of walks and trail rides and local businesses; quirky surroundings in green, well kept sites, small and clean amenities block that worked just fine even over the long weekend when the place was full, chickens roaming at times.

Price was right for peak period (labour day weekend) with freedom to truly enjoy the surroundings.

Couldn’t disagree more with the review from guest with his wife and 3 kids - Steve’s website clearly spells out his policies toward mature age campers. In this instance, he made a concession as the family arrived late on the Friday night requiring some place to stay. The kids happily played on the lawn in front of the caravan they bunked in

Perfect spot to spend the night while cycling the East Gippsland Rail Trail. Eclectic, comfortable and very convenient. “Ah the serenity!”

Amidst the hype of noisy, crowded and slick new parks, this one stands out as a beautifully kept, peaceful and welcoming oasis bordering a deep water creek and beautiful old trestle bridge. There are huge evergreen trees throughout the park, providing welcoming shade of a hot day, lots of green grassy spaces to pitch a tent, and many native birds who love the calm and relaxed atmosphere of both the owners and guests. The camp kitchen is well set up and the retro vans will bring back very happy memories for many over 50's!
I just loved finding the free standing sculptures, and moving from one beautiful seat in the garden to another. Steve Stewart will happily direct you to many local places of interest.
But be warned - the temptation to just unwind and absorb the tranquility of this place may mean you need another day or two to do explore further....

My wife and I just spent 4 days here and absolutely loved it. It is a small, quiet park which is the perfect place to just relax and recharge the batteries. My dogs loved it as well. Thank you Stephen fro a great time.

We really loved this little caravan park. Stephen, the owner is such a nice guy and keeps the caravan park looking really lush and colourful. Love the sculptures and the 2 chickens who run around. The caravan park is perfectly positioned for the rail trail too.

Super friendly owners here and we ended up staying a week. The river is beautiful and there is so much history for such a little town. We were also able to have a camp fire when we stayed and used this as a base to explore the local area and lakes entrance.

We absolutely love this place. This was originally a stopover plan, but we are now staying for 4 nights. This will now be a destination, not just stopover.
The pristine gardens and quirky and creative sculptures, give this retro park the edge for travellers looking for a quiet and gorgeous place to recharge.
The owner Steve, is a lovely and helpful man and makes you feel very welcome.
It is a short drive to Lakes Entrance, Buchan or Orbost to explore the local areas.
We will definitely be back.

Was going to stay a night, but extended to two. Great shade and very quiet at night - long way from busy highways. Really relaxing place to explore the rail trail.

Nice little quirky caravan park. Toilets and shower are limited, i.e only one shower for the whole park, but kept very clean.
Right next to the river with the bike/walking track. Really really nice, and the management very friendly and helpful too.
Lots of interesting things scattered around the park to see....

This is a great little caravan park.
Perfect stop on the rail trail, beautiful setting with river sounds in the background. Pizza oven is a winner. Steve is an awesome host, super friendly and accomodating. An all-round lovely place to stay, hope to be back soon. Cheers Darren

A fantastic retreat. It's such a beautiful, small park. Surrounded by lush green garden, we stayed in one of the retro caravans. It was such a beautiful weekend away. The caravans are beautifully restored. It's as if you're holidaying in the 50's, surrounded by kitsch vintage decoration. The daily breakfast of home-made muesli and preserved fruit was exceptional. I never knew muesli could be so good. Staff are friendly, and you can easily wander down to the adjacent creek. I'd love to return in warmer months for a swim, or I'm told you can kayak right out to Lake's Entrance. The town of Nowa Nowa is very basic, so don't expect modern convenience, but with a historical grounding in the arts there are some galleries to see, and the local burger joint serves an array of interesting burgers. But most of all, this caravan park is a great place to just sit and watch the shadows crawl across the ground, and just take it easy for a while.

My family and I just drove from Sydney to Melbourne, and staying here was one of the highlights of our trip. The park is small, relaxed and full of character. It was the most comfortable we felt anywhere on our journey, Our toddler daughter roamed free-range, mostly following the park chickens around and at no point did we feel we had to worry. The kitchen is a lovely space, and had we stayed longer we would have definitely used the pizza oven.
To top it off, Steve was the most welcoming and generous host, he made booking and communicating easy, and did everything he could to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Thank you, Steve!

Such a great place. Beautiful setting with big trees and lush grass, with its very own river swimming hole on site. Well equipped, quirky kitchen, clean bathrooms and thoughtful touches. Nice and quiet, definitely not for noisy groups.

This park has a real charm, positively accentuated by Steven-‘the host with the most’ From his warm reception to his well appreciated advice, our short stay as cycle tourists was short, yet sweet. Some of us camped, others rented an on-site van. Both options were perfectly suited to our needs. The well equipped camp kitchen is a real bonus and a lovely spot to gather for meals, especially in the morning sun. I wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else in town!

What better place to spend a comfortable night. It is indeed a quirky small caravan park under the shade of magnificent trees - quiet sites set separately. Stephen is a most generous host who welcomed us with warm conversation and some eggs from his beautiful australope chooks. There is a camp kitchen and a great hot shower. The walk along the gorge is a lovely pre dinner stroll. Thank you.

We didn't stay but looks lovely and serene. Hired bikes from Stephen the owner. Gave us a map and some tips on where to go. Seemed like a top bloke. Friendly chickens as well. Definitely recommend stopping in.
