La Marina Italian Restaurant & Bar

We were a group of three with no booking on a Tuesday night, restaurant was busy and were greeted with a smile. Thought it would be a long wait but after drinks arrived and orders taken service ran smoothly. Good menu and the Special of Flounder in lemon sauce was very good, as was the tiramisu. Would definitely recommend.

The food was delicious and the portions were more than generous- we had enough left over for dinner the next day!
The staff here are fantastic. Everyone was welcoming and attentive.
The view of the harbour is lovely; my only regret is that we didn’t book an earlier table for sunset.
If we didn’t live half way across the world we would definitely be frequent visitors!

We stayed at Airlie for 3 days and did not have the best food experience overall with restaurants but I am so glad that we chose to have dinner at La Marina on our very last night here. Its safe to say that we loved EVERYTHING about La Marina, the food was delicious, staff was super friendly and the location couldn't be more perfect! In my experience, La Marina is the best resturant at Airlie if you love Italian food. Keep up the good work guys!

Came in for late night dinner - staff fitted us in where other places turned us away. The place is beautiful right by the water and the staff were extremely friendly and inviting from the moment we walked in. They knew the menu well and gave us a solid recommendation for pizza which was very tasty. We also got the meatballs and olives entrees, with the meatballs definitely being the highlight of the night. Thought we were well looked after and not rushed at all, was definitely a very pleasant experience.

I had some beef lasagna here, they are absolutely beefy, I’m absolutely stuffed when I walked out of the restaurant, and I’m quite a big man (I literally use a Minecraft avatar, I’m trustworthy). Unfortunately I haven’t got any photo of the chungus of a beef lasagna, but I got some photos of pizza and spaghetti. I managed to steal some Hawaii pizza from my friend. I am not the biggest fan of pineapple on pizza (I actually have a quite strong opinion on it), nor was I a fan of thin crust pizza in particular, but this magnificent piece of art absolutely stunned me, great.

A side note, this restaurant have the best chips I have tasted so far on my holiday at Queensland. This have nothing to do with anything, but I just thought it’s kinda funny how an Italian restaurant can make some of the best chippy in the local area.

The only real grudge I have is that the restaurant repeatedly ghosted me when I was trying to book a seat. Although I do understand that it’s a quite small establishment, and the staffs here are really nice when we met them in person. Plus, I was prob doing something wrong on my behalf. So like, no real complaints, just thought it’s fun to mention.

Overall, 9 beef lasagnas out of 10 pineapple pizzas, heavily recommend, you are missing out if you haven’t tried these.

Being half Italian it takes a lot to impress me with Italian food. I was pleasantly surprised by the flavours and could definitely tell the food was fresh AF 🙌🏼 We will be back.

Update^ we came back for our last night in Airlie Beach. Amazing Affogato 🩵

Some of the best food in Airlie Beach, and the best Italian food I've had since moving to Australia. I LOVE taking visiting friends here. They always leave impressed. The pizza and meatballs are particularly delicious.

Excellent food. Myself and two friends visited here during a recent trip to Airlie Beach. Starters and pizza were all extremely tasty. One of my friends had the sticky date pudding which he thoroughly enjoyed. Very good portion sizes, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Highly recommend for dinner whilst visiting the area

We absolutely loved our experience at this restaurant!

We went on a Saturday night with no booking and got greeted with a smile. Throughout our entire service the staff were all wonderful and knowledgeable.

We ordered the nonnas meatballs as an entree and boy did nonna do an amazing job! They were super soft and tasty and we could have eaten more! The only (minor) downside was that the meatball to sourdough bread ratio that they supplied was off (3 meatballs to 2 sourdough pieces) but other than that, these were the best meatballs I’ve personally ever had.

For our mains, we (2 people) ordered the meatlovers pizza and a carbonara to share. Both my partner and I agreed that they were the best we had ever had. The pizza was delicious and had the perfect amount of toppings and a thin and crispy base, the carbonara was 11/10, it wasn’t too overwhelming but also packed with flavour and seasoned to perfection.

We then shared with some friends and ordered the zeppoli. It was super hot and fresh, the only downside was that they’d run out of Nutella, which they offered us an alternative of chocolate sauce after they’d delivered it, but it would have been nice to know prior to ordering as it drastically changed the dish. It would have been a 10/10 with the Nutella, but unfortunately wasn’t 100% what we were expecting, however it was still great!

Our drinks throughout the night were also great!

We would 100% come back here again on our next trip to Airlie and have already raved about it to friends!

A nice restaurant to have a good meal. The place has a good selection of alcohol. The menu has a good variety. Enjoyed the dinner and the position size was adequate. The prices are also fair and it is good value for money.

Overall we were satisfied with the meals and the service. I recommend this place for a meal.

By far the best restaurant in Airlie Beach! The staff were so friendly and accomodating. The meals were the best Italian we have ever had. Deserves a 10/10! If you are looking for a beautiful place with amazing food, highly recommend. Also overlooks the boats and water so all a bonus.

Warm welcome on arrival for our dinner. Excellent service. Great menu and wonderful food. Loved the location and sitting outdoors was so nice. Would recommend this restaurant.

Was cold outside so asked to move ....sat us next to a heater....lovely ...meals ...especially seafood risotto was divine with a rose wine. just perfect.The veal also tender my son had and steak and mushroom sauce my husband had was lovely.
Nice views yachts in the marina and moonshining over us .Can walk there easily as we did .

Now this is a classy restaurant. A jewel on the Marina waterfront at Airlie Beach. La Marina. Food was delicious. Memorable. Wait staff lovely. That canolli, my new Italian friend, was the best since Sicily.

Writing this as I’m still sat in the restaurant, absolutely phenomenal, Joe served us and was great all the way through, good reccomendations, attentive but not intrusive, very reasonably priced too! Can’t ask for more

I dined here by myself on a recent visit to Airlie. Loved the home made pasta, serving was generous and staff attentive and friendly
