Burma lane is a fantastic modern Melbourne restaurant with food inspiration from around the world. Located in an iconic Melbourne laneway it really is a hidden gem. Food was delicious, priced mid-high end. The five spice pork belly is a real standout. The cocktails are fantastic, we made our way though majority of the list with each being better than the last. Well worth a visit.

A top quality Modern Australian Asian Fusion food. My top pick is their pork belly! Crispy and delicious through and through. Their biggest let down was their chicken curry which was no different than a street side food store. But hey, still good!

Loved it. Great staff and delicious food. We got the Feed me menu (the larger one) and there wasn't a dish I didn't loke. I'll be going back again and again!

Loved the dinner experience. Food was delicious, and service was good. Recommend the chocolate dessert, squid, and beef ribs. The place is cozy too.

Simply Amazing Food - asian influence but with a thoughtful twist - The staff are amazing, the Sommelier is really engaging, knowledgable and adds an extra dimension to the dinning experience.

Just go - ask them to Feed you and get the Som to match some wines and you will not be disappointed.

Got 50% off on 8-Course Set Menu through theFork! Didn't get a chance to visit its well-known sister-restaurant Red Spice Road yet but no doubt it's just as good if not better. The ambience was impeccable especially with this beautiful painting on the wall and service was friendly and prompt.
All the dishes were tasty - full of flavour but not overpowering to the point where ingredients lose their tastes. Shan Tofu, Lamb Shank Curry, and Caramelised Pork Belly stood out out of all. Pork Belly was crispy outside but succulent inside and lamb shank was so soft that it fell apart as I dug my fork into it. Went wonderfully well with rice!
My personal favourite was surprisingly Shan Tofu - never knew tofu could taste like that. It had this distinctive herby starchy flavour which was very addicting. Only thing I didn't like about the set menu was Chai Panna Cotta - not that it tasted bad but just not a fan of its pudding-like texture. Overall, with 50% off deal- definitely worth it!

Amazing place! Decor is stunning with 4 metre tall murals on their concrete walls. Staff were also super friendly!

Food was utterly delicious. We considered one of the two banquets, however in the end we decided to choose the dishes a la carte in order to try the things we really wanted and the cost ended up approximately the same as the more expensive banquet.

My favourite was the raw salmon entree followed by the lemon cheesecake. It's not your traditional cheesecake, it comes in a glass, displayed beautifully and colourfully. Where cheesecakes can often be too rich or dense, this was fluffy, with more the texture of a well-aerated mousse. The crumble base added a fantastic crunch that complemented the softness of the mousse.

It would be remiss of me not to mention the chai tea panna cotta. It's a medley of desserts, with sides of China jasmine jelly and an earl grey sorbet. It has strong tea flavours, however it is better to try this first before trying the lemon cheesecake as the flavours in the cheesecake can overwhelm the delicate taste of the teas.

Monday nights are a bargain with 2 for 1 banquets as long as you book ahead. I definitely recommend this place for a special night out!

Wife and I dined for our date night, taking advantage 2-4-1 feed me banquet deal. Fantastic value, but just as importantly food was to an excellent standard. Had to full range from variety of starters, mains and dessert. Five Spice Pork belly always scrumptious (but sorry Red Spice Road dies my favourite). Beef brisket and lamb curry, compliment each other nicely with an assortment of tastes from sweet, slightly spicy, to tart. Some would expect and prefer lamb curry to be spicier. Very nice decor with Street art Ode to Burma and trendy high ceilings.

Lovely food and service. We had a lovely meal with plenty of food for two people. The pork belly was amazing, especially with the red vinegar. The tea leaf salad was good. However, it could do with more tea leaf. I think the staff tonight was quite confused to have a request to have more tea leaf haha. All in all a lovely night out.

Soooo goood! Really great service and deliciously fresh food - to start we had the duck, shitake & water chestnut doughnut (wow!) cumin lamb potato cakes and the Wagyu cheeseburger bacon dumplings (must try!). Mains were five-spice pork belly (best I've EVER had) and the lamb shoulder (also really good). We had to try the dessert, even though we were stuffed at this point - so tried the gooey dark chocolate cake with hint of chilli and passionfruit icecream which was surprisingly light! They also have a cocktail and mocktail specially for Breast Cancer month (October) which they'll donate the profits too. I'll definitely be back here!

Ate here over the weekend. The food was amazing with a nice twist on staple Asian foods. I loved the cheeseburger spring rolls and the duck donut! Staff were fantastic and attentive. I would definitely come here again.

The banquet was 9 courses of different meals in smaller portions that were exceptional in taste & textures. Entrees came out quickly & service was by friendly staff. Pork belly & ocean trout was delicious

Superb dining experience. Dining in the Dark, an opportunity to use one less of our senses to determine what the secret ingredient is before we eat the dish.
Staff were super attentive. Bravo!

Excellent fusion of foods with amazing taste to match. Presentation of the food and restaurant is also very beautiful. The wine and cocktail list both have terrific options. The service was very attentive. Nothing to fault about this place. My highlights were the duck doughnuts and pork belly.
