Had a lovely weekend away at Plantation house. We had the upstairs room with the balcony to ourselves. It was a gorgeous view and everything was catered for. Charles was so welcoming and his attention to detail is second to none. Loved the home made breakfast. Definitely recommended this place for a couples weekend away.

The house is close to the center of Rye. The room was squeaky clean with plenty of amenities. The host was amazing and breakfast is to die for. You won't be disappointed!

Amazing place! My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Plantation House. We stayed on the second floor and the room design was very impressive and absolutely spotlessly clean. The room lead us on to the beautiful terrace(balcony) overlooking at the tropical plants. The host - Charles is very friendly and makes sure all guests have a comfortable stay. He also seems to enjoy cooking making delicious breakfast for the guests. Highly recommend this place. Thank you Charles.

Beautiful B&B in Rye. Really welcoming. Very clean and has a lovely character. We each had beautiful chocolate welcoming us on our night stands and lots of variety of hot drinks to chose from and some lovely biscuits. Can’t wait for the lovely breakfast on offer tomorrow.
Would not hesitate to come back. Highly recommended 👍

It was without hesitation that we booked Plantation House At Whitecliffs for a special occasion, in much the same way we did nearly a decade ago, knowing that our experience was going to be exceptional yet again.

Charles is a treasure, ringing in to check what time we were arriving, and welcoming us to walk through the room and the house's accoutrements. The bathroom was clean, modern, and very well-appointed with everything you could possibly need.

There are 3 to 4 spots of parking inside the property, and more on the street if you ever run out. We've never come around to using the spa out back, but can attest from distant laughter that guests enjoy using it every time we visited.

We spent most of the day exploring the countryside, but always opted to come back to our room for long, extremely comfortable naps in between, with blinds that blacked out most light and a mattress and sheets that were close to heaven. I haven't felt as well-rested in a place outside my own bed. An air conditioning unit helped with our room temperature requirements when the central heating didn't cut it.

Breakfast was a special affair, usually ordered the day before with a form that Charles helped us navigate. It was simple but delicious, the order fulfilled to perfection. Charles greeted us good morning, and served us one of the nicest, most heart-warming meals we've had in the Peninsula.

Plantation House is close to the beaches both bay and ocean-side, which is a delight, and we witnessed a dramatic sunrise on Number Sixteen Beach before hurrying back for breakfast. It's close enough to most other things you'd like to visit in the area, from Fort Nepean to Cape Schanck to the Peninsula Hot Springs, and even wine country half an hour away.

In all, it was an amazing experience, a home away from home. Charles and the warm service he provided made it extra special for us, adding a golden memory for us to come back to and cherish.

Great breakfast by Charles. cafe style quality. Old property gives a sense of history. room well furnished and cosy. Charles was gracious to allow us to use the washing machine which was much appreciated as we have travelled for close to a week.

We've stayed at Plantation House several times and each visit was a pleasure. Charles and his wife are great hosts. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and private. Breakfast is a real treat too. They have a spa for guests too.

This B&B is located about a block back from the beach, and a 5-10 minute walk to the Rye Hotel (which is a great value for money dinner option). That makes it quiet and convenient. It's a great location if you want to explore the Peninsula, or just have a relaxing time near the beach.

I personally can't wait for the next time my wife and I are back at Plantation House.

from the outset, Charles has thought of everything. We stayed in the apartment upstairs, the room was magnificent, kitchen very well equip and the bathroom was divine. Even down to the quality of the products provided.
We spent a good deal of time in the Jacuzzi, lovely setting.
The meals that were included in our package were five star. The food, the wine, the music. it was perfect.
We can't speak highly enough of this experience, this is quite possibly the best B & B We have ever been to. Thank you Charles, you are an impeccable host!

This was a memorable stay that left such a beautiful impression.

Charles and his wife were AMAZING hosts, friendly and hospitable , making it an enjoyable experience for my family.

We woke up to a freshly cooked breakfast of our own choice, delicious! The property has a big BBQ so we had BBQ dinner with the family, enjoying the patio out the back on a sunny day in Rye.

The location is just a short walk from the beautiful beach of Rye.

The rooms were really clean and the bathroom was large and luxurious.

We are planning to return again soon!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Plantation House. It was an ideal mix between privacy and hospitality. Charles was an excellent host and his breakfasts were absolutely lovely! We stayed in the apartment upstairs. It was clean, very well furnished, and provided lots of natural light. The bathroom was very modern and spacious. Having the balcony meant that we could have the double doors open to let in a nice breeze. The location of the house is also ideal. Only a short walk to the beach, shoos and local restaurants. We will definitely be back and highly recommend Plantation House!

I am one to come away and fault aspects of my stay but oh my gosh I don’t have anything negative to say at all, not even recommendations, everything was absolutely perfect ! Beautiful rooms, very clean, amazing hosts and such a great breakfast 😁 I would only ever stay here now if I need to be back by the peninsula !

Booked an overnight stay @ Plantation House during Melbourne's COVID lockdown, not knowing what to expect. Found the accommodation friendly, relaxing & tranquil. I'm not normally a big breakfast eater but the spinach & chorizo eggs were delicious. Attached are some photos of the Georgia Suite that I stayed in. Would highly recommend. Thank you Charles for providing such a welcoming atmosphere.

We stay for two days here, do enjoy every moment in the house, scented each corner, wonderful decor and furniture, lovely garden with Barbecue set, not to mention the heated spa for guest private use.
Breakfast is fantastic tasty, just like master chef on tv. FOXTEL is equipped, watching NBA all-star game in the morning which is good start of the day.
Thanks for Charles taking care of us and warmest hospitality given.
We complimented Charles on his 15 years dedication.

We really enjoyed our stay at Plantation House. We stayed in the Bahamas suite and it was well equipped, with a lovely 4 poster bed. The bathroom was huge, plenty of water pressure and decent hot water. The spa bath was large enough for two to share in comfort. Charles really went the extra mile to make us welcome on arrival, and I was impressed with all that was on offer in the bnb. Even a nip of port or sherry if one is so inclined. The breakfast was comprehensive, with a selection of juices, cereal and local yoghurt; and the hot breakfast was most excellent. We enjoyed Perfectly poached Spanish eggs with Chorizo and tomato; and the French toast with cheese, chives and bacon. A great breakfast to start the day that the smashed avocado crowd would enjoy.

Stayed 2 nights. Was a fantastic experience. Central location and very close to great restaurants, the beach and the hot springs. The breakfast buffet was delicious and we were made to feel very welcome by our hosts. I will definitely stay again and will/have recommended to others looking for a great hotel experience.

We had good reviews from our family before choosing Plantation House b&b for our 5 night stay 14 - 18 Oct 2019. We arrived to a friendly reception in the afternoon to be met by our host and immediately felt relaxed. Entering Plantation House we got the feeling we had chosen well as we sensed an air of professionalism in entering reception area and elegantly styled dining room which was presented in a generous array of welcoming drinks and nibbles, which I probably ate too many of over the week. Fortunately our hosts did not challenge me 😉
Our room was immaculate, generously furnished with a very comfortable bed and other storage including a fridge and fresh milk was provided. We were frequently asked if there were any additional requirements, however everything we needed was already there.
We can confidently recommended Plantation House B&B to future guests who will be warmly recommended by its owners.
