Gold Exchange Café Restaurant

Breakfast here was a good value bacon egg muffin, and reasonable coffee. Here at 7am the gathering of locals and their many dogs was a real highlight. All the morning dog walkers and their delightful pooches gather. Delight to see

We had a great time in Malden. The food was lovely and for the great quality it was extremely affordable too!
The staff were great. We ordered almond latte and almond Belgian hot chocolate. The poached eggs my partner had were a slightly over-done. The lemon slice was nice. The scrambled eggs I had on sourdough were some of the fluffiest eggs I've had. It was all lovely overall.

It was a busy, rainy Boxing Day so it took a while for our food to come out but the staff were very nice. We had a vanilla chai, a bacon & egg roll and a BLAT, which was all excellent, well worth the wait.

Chili jam is apparently a must try.
Lively little country town, will visit again.

Asked the staff about the recommendation of the cake and turned out having a really nice cake (apple almond forgot the name) in a country town which is really now
Also the soup and the sourdough is Yum

Lovely food and kind staff. I accidentally parked outside the art gallery next door,and was insulted and berated by the gallery owner. The staff in the cafe had to suddenly change my order to take away,and they couldn’t be kinder. Food was lovely and good value..thank you ladies

Absolutely faultless, service was amazing and friendly. Coffees were hot and flavourful. Homemade beans on toast absolutely scrumptious. Even a bit of treat brought out for our pup. Beautiful cafe.

Service is amazing, even when we slammed them with 10+ orders at once they worked hard and were very nice to us.

Loved this cafe. The staff were friendly and the food came out quickly. Really enjoyed the burgers with potato hash and the zucchini fritters were delicious. They have a large range of home made cakes that we couldn't resist, and the Belgian hot chocolate was delicious. I would definitely go back.

Beautiful Belgian hot chocolate drinks. Delicious food. My usual is the chicken burger; a high quality chicken schnitzel based burger with an excellent texture or 'mouth feel'. Pleasant service. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu.

Great little cafe with limited indoor and half a dozen outdoor tables. Kids enjoyed there gourmet saugage rolls and the smoked salmon smash was well presented, fresh with pouched eggs cooked to perfection. Coffee was on song and had no complaints from the kids with their milk shakes.

As a new local to Maldon I definitely found one of the best cafes on the main street. Great coffee & food selections including some GF options. Lovely service.

Gorgeous little cafe with lovely people. Sweet little garden nook out the back if you want quiet and privacy. Very friendly and accommodating. Wish I had found this place earlier!

Lovely breakfast and a choice of vanilla or spiced chai - beautiful. Friendly staff, many locals frequent this cafe. Very enjoyable.

They mean gold like money or eftpos, or actual gold I suppose. They don't accept someone exclaiming 'That's Gold' when you say something witty or poignant. Fair call but I would like to use this form of currency somewhere and this seems like a good place. Kind of like a verbal crypto currency. Someone exclaims 'That's Gold' at you, and you get like five bucks!? I don't know, I'm not in charge, I'll look into it.

Gold Exchange Cafe has great food with lots of choices. Coffee is really good and staff are friendly and very efficient. It is my go to Cafe when I visit Maldon. Highly recommend💕
