The Inchcolm by Ovolo

Very happy with our stay at the Inchcolm. Front desk staff are super and made everything easy and comfortable both in the hotel side and the bar. The evening social hour is a nice touch. Room is very comfortable, clean, and we slept well. Great location just a few steps from the central train station. This hotel is a great find. Don't bring kids here.

The service was outstanding and all the staff was super friendly and helpful, the rooms had a boutique feel to them which I loved they were also very unique in a good way. the fragrance they put throughout the hotel was phenomenal I have never smelt a better hotel. The parking was not on site, but it was very close to the hotel, which was awesome. The services that were also included with the rooms was exceptional , especially the free lolly bar that my kids loved.
I also loved Learning about the rich history of the hotel itself. Overall one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. :)

We came to stay a night for a staycation and we’re so happy with our choice. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, tidy and had great decor, we really loved the renovated spaces still incorporating the original architecture. The renovated elevator looks great. The inclusions for booking directly were also a highlight and really elevated the experience. The martini bar is great fun and the martini’s were great. I would highly recommend a stay.

Enjoyed our stay. Location is close to city and southbank to walk.

Dog friendly - and they actually like dogs! They left her a little pack with treats, toys, food for the night, and a bed. Its a $100 charge for dogs. (A lot more reasonable than many hotels that tout they are dog friendly but have dog fees per night and then $200+ cleaning fees.)

Staff were lovely.

Parking is nearby - if you go through the hotel there is a discount and they offer valet but self serve was easy for us $40.

We were simply amazed. Far exceeded our expectations. The location, staff and atmosphere were absolutely wonderful. Super cute with Lots of very special decor and retro additions. It was very reasonably priced (but we stayed mid-week)... do yourself a favour and book directly for some nice little surprise inclusions.

I absolutely love this place! It's a funky and sophisticated boutique hotel, truly one of a kind, with super comfortable rooms and very friendly and attentive staff. The bar and restaurant are cosy and super stylish and their Martini Happy Hour is not to be missed (one of the best dirty martinis I have ever had!). I love my morning coffee and theirs is the best - each room is equipped with a quality Nespresso machine (no instant coffee!!) and if that's not enough, the coffee in the restaurant downstairs is one of the best in the city. Last but no least - incredible customer service. I left one of my earrings and before I have even realised it, I got a message from the hotel to let me know they have it and are sending it back to me. How good is that? I can't wait to be back!

I just had 10 friends for a martini lunch for my birthday. It could not have been more special . The food and martinis were fabulous. The staff were fantastic. The venue spot on . We will be back for small and large gatherings in the future.. many thanks for making it so easy .

Wow...what a treat!! The building is opulent & quirky, the City view loft room was idyllic with a perfect view of the City, but it was the attentive staff that took this stay to a different level of great.
Nothing was too difficult....infact all the staff we encountered were personal & went out of their way to make us feel special.
It was truly lovely to feel like a guest in a hotel again. The experience as a whole (including afternoon martinis & canapes and brekky in bed) was 10/10 & I will be heading right back here whenever Brisbane calls. Thank you 🥰

This is a well situated hotel with good access to all the things that you want to do whilst staying in Brisbane. It is boutique and has a personal feel but does not lack refinement or the nice touches. Breakfast is al a carte which ensures you are full but not stuffed. The options are also plentiful.

Would recommend particularly if you don't want the impersonal larger hotel chain type experience.

So impressed with this hotel. Staff are lovely professional, friendly, informative, nothing is too much trouble. The rooms, bar, even the lift are beautiful. Trips down memory lane on the shelves!

If you are looking for a) a touch of class b) a top-to-bottom tone of uniqueness and c) a deft and witty and personal touch in every tiny detail, I would stongly recommend The Inchcolm by Ovalo in central Brisbane. I stayed for a Friday and Saturday night with my wife and it was a thorough treat.

Our room was tastefully laid out, with a pod-coffee machine to please me, a range of tea-bags to please my wife, and a bathroom bottle-set with head-scratching musical puns on each, to set both of our brains working.

For any out of town visitor, be assured that The Incholm is easy walking distance to the central shopping mall, the entertainment district ("The Valley"), and the main Airport-train and bus hubs.

Stunning detail in heritage building, decor is luxe and complimentary to building. Beds are super comfortable, Social hour was a nice touch to mingle with other guests, or cosy up and just enjoy each other company. Relieved to find coffee machine in the room.

Loved this unique hotel! The rooms were large, neat, and stocked with all of your basic needs. The antique refurbished elevator and vintage artifacts in the bar were a lot of fun, too.

What truly sets The Inchcolm apart is its impeccable service. The staff, warm and welcoming, went above and beyond to cater to our every need, making us feel like a cherished guest throughout our stay. Their genuine hospitality added a real personal touch. We enjoyed a magical, boutique experience dining at the Inchcolm Hotel. With our own private function room, and intimate service, we couldn't thank the Manger, Ollie more for organising such a beautiful night.
We enjoyed a banquet of Tasmanian oysters, fresh Morten Bay bug pasta, duck, steaks and cheese board - the food was divine.
Highly recommend for couples, familys or anyone wishing to experience a trip back in time to a classy, french style boutique hotel.

I have regularly stayed at Incholm Ovolo for years now - I live in Brisbane but I often go there for a staycation. It is amazing in every way... it has pet-friendly rooms where my dog will be spoiled with his own welcome package, bed, toy, blanket, treats, organic food. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful - it has period charm mixed with really funky modern decor. The staff are amazing, the food and drinks are amazing, and it is so affordable. Even when I stayed there once after surgery, the staff actually went up the street to pick up crutches for me from the chemist up the road when I couldn't walk there. On my last visit for New Years, there was a personalised hand-written card welcoming me back. I accidentally ordered the wrong platter from room service (the cheese platter is the one I wanted - addictive) and the fact I made a mistake was not a problem and the cheese platter came up. Any friends I have stayed with there have remarked what a great place it is. It's by far THE best hotel in Brisbane and the prices and trimmings are just amazing. If I could give six stars I would!

The entire check in process with Eden was seamless. She welcomed us with a smile and bent over backwards for us. We walked into the bar and felt like we were home, We spotted the lolly bar and knew we were home. Our room was stunning and modern. We’ve always stayed in a Heritage room as we love old world luxury, although we loved the different feel of the City View Suites. We arrived at our room with a beautiful welcome gift and we really felt the love. Cindy and Oliver looked after our family at the Thursday night Jazz. The jazz singer with his guitar and trumpet set the vibes. Our dinner was amazing, we almost tried everything on the menu and could not fault any part of it. We had the chance to meet the chefs Cristina – a real treat! We spent time in the bar after dinner and all of the guests we got talking to could not speak more highly of the service from Evie and Luthia – And Tashi’s cocktails! Our breakfast was outstanding, Melissa took great care of us. We never wanted to leave, but Daniel made the check out process so easy for us, our car was ready and waiting for us as we checked out.
We have stayed at Ovolo The Valley a lot, and Inchcolm not as much as we'd had such great experiences at The Valley previously. . Although Inchcolm had a different feel this time, The entire hotel is second to none and the team makes it so special for the guests.
Being Brisbane locals, we often stay at The Ovolo’s for a stay-cation and will absolutely be back! I hope I’ve not forgotten to mention anyone, we cannot thank you enough for how special you made us feel. Thank you again.

Loved my stay here, perect for a single female traveller.
Would have been lovely for a couple as well but my partner was overnighting at Brisbane Private Hospital, the hotel is a nice easy walk from there.
Bed was great, nice large room and a lovely shower.
Great having a restaurant and small bar with a fun selection of drinks ment I did not need to leave the hotel at night. Food was great - stunning steak for dinner.
Next to Central Train Station so easy to get around, and to get to the airport. Will look forward to staying there again.
Would be a great place to explore Brisbane from.
