CJS on the Levee - Tapas & Cafe Maitland

Food was delicious, made from locally sourced ingredients to create a Spanish dishes with an Australian twist. Service was top notch, and if you can get a spot out by the river on a summer evening, you're winning! Loved the experience of dining here, we'll be back to try the rest of the tapas!

What a wonderful experience! Three of us went for tapas dinner & it was absolutely fantastic. The menu choices are varied so there is definitely something for all tastes, hardest part is choosing! Thoroughly enjoyed all dishes, and getting to share & taste everything was great. Recommend as a date nite or group dinner - perfect for both!

Fantastic spot on the river, do yourself a favour and sit outside. Service was amazing and even gave us complimentary entree with local and fresh ingredients. Very well presented.

Had a cute little family breakfast here this morning 05/05/24.

We ordered the big breakfast, corn fritters, banana bread and they so kindly accommodated our 1yr old daughter by making up a small plate of scrambled eggs and toast.

The service was excellent, really lovely and friendly people.
The food was absolutely delicious (the chorizo was insane and so was the chutney), the coffee was 10/10.. so good we ordered another one to go.

Even the music playing was a vibe (old like 90's and 00's hits).

For the young families they do have a high chair available which was awesome.

I genuinely cannot fault anything. We fully intend on going back.

First time visiting as we have just recently moved to the area. The service here is absolutely impeccable, second to none!
The cocktails were great and the food was really nice, some of the tapas were a little different, flavour wise to those we have had at other Spanish tapa restaurants but I feel this is because they are trying to cater for everyones taste, the scallops are a must have and the mushrooms were surprisingly good, I do prefer my patatas bravas extra crispy with sauce on the side but everything else was quite nice.
Highly recommend people to give it a try.

Friendly atmosphere and delicious meals. Serving size is huge. Coffee smooth and tasty. Staff were attentive to our needs. Not been disappointed yet!! So much better than The Orange Tree!

First time there. Loved it so much. We had tapas and paella. Everything cooked very well. Delicious. And amazing cocktails. Will definately come back again. Thank you josh and chantelle for being wonderful hosts. Highly recommend.

Gorgeous food, service and atmosphere! We ordered the veg paella & tapas; scallops (sublime!!), prawns w/ chilli & garlic (delicious!), Patatas Bravos (smokey yummy!), Spanish eggs & Croquette mushroom & Green chilli - all so delicious and amazing. Completely recommend! 10/10

Omg never had Tapas before or Paella. We had a mix and omg just delicious. Service was friendly and fun. Highly recommend this gem in Maitland

CJs (Chantelle & Josh) run a fabulous local family owned and operated licensed cafe restaurant. We didn't meet Chantelle as she dared to take a day off for her birthday. Josh and Co were slammed with a hugely busy morning over the holiday period. It's fair to say they were 'in the weeds' when we arrived though did a thoroughly commendable job of ensuring all diners were happy. The food looked amazing and the coffees were top notch. Very friendly team and the outdoor dining area overlooking the levee undoubtedly would be popular in good weather. Thank you for a lovely morning out with family and friends. Highly recommended. A++

OMG what a find! I had a surprise 40th birthday dinner here last night & we left very happy & with full bellies. The food was absolutely delish! Josh was an amazing host & went out of his way for us.

Awesome breakfast CJ'S the other morning with my wife, the place was spotless the service was spot on and the food and coffee were excellent. Soon to be opening for dinner too I believe, can't wait.You wont be disappointed if you try here.
