Absolutely elite store for digging. Those with wide tastes and open ears will end up with empty pockets and heavy record bags. Owner seems like a legend, too. Brisbane is lucky to have a spot like this - opening a store like this takes a significant chunk of one's life and it doesn't come without a true passion.

Has to be the best record shop in Brisbane, especially so for electronic music fans: massive selection, tons of listening stations, and friendly staff. Hope to return again.

Hubby"s Favourite music 🎶 Store. John is a lovely, knowledgeable guy who is very welcoming and has a great in-depth record collection and knowledge to go with it. There's also a space to rent out for photographers, Dj's & Artists. Excellent customer service and lovely store 10/10

I recently came here for the first time & it's one of the best record stores I've ever been to. Crate after crate filled with interesting stuff & agreeable pricing as well.

The browsing experience was excellent & I'd accumulated a healthy pile of records before even browsing a quarter of the store. I really like all the information on the price tags (year, genre etc) as well. Not your average record store & definitely worth a visit.

Great damn record store. Especially in an age where records are getting back into trend, it’s great to remember that record are eternal if cared for and stored correctly. This place is a goldmine for whatever you fancy (for me it’s their house/reggae/dub). Record stores, in my opinion, can sometimes feel like a place where you’re obligated to buy something is soon as you walk in, but the space is very inclusive and it feels more like a place of discovery than that. I personally love when a place has decks I can use to check the record too (as I’m cheap and always pick up like 10 things and have to narrow it to 2). Digging is fun and shouldn’t be thought of as a “vinyl elitist” hobby, so give it a go at this place.

The gentleman that works at Monster Robot Party was incredibly helpful. I was looking for a specific album and although he didn’t have it in store he gave me allot of helpful information and helped me track it down online. He was very knowledgeable and very friendly. The store was huge and had a super large collection would definitely recommend.

Possibly the best record store in Oz. Amazing selection of vinyl, that keeps growing everyday. Great DJs play here all the time. Cool place to hang out and enjoy music. Staff really know about records.

When we visited Brisbane this was the most fun - tracking down great second hand records at this unusual place. I've subsequently ordered online and have found the gradings and post to be flawless.

Shooting in the studio was an absolute delight. It's an amazing space next to the record shop, Jing, the owner, was super helpful

Fantastic selection of records, old and new, super friendly staff..Almost perfect place. Only thing that would make it better is the listening stations...the sound i horrendous. But overall fantastic

Huge variety of 2nd hand and new records across all genre's. A few listening stations, and a DJ booth for live sets. Great staff and chilled vibe.

Best record store overall in Australia. Nothing else comes close. All the extras (dope instores, collectables etc) are just icing on the cake.

The phrases 'Brisbane's best kept secret', 'hidden gem' get bandied about Willy nilly these days but when you stumble into Monster Robot Records, you'll see for yourself that those worn out phrases don't go anywhere near capturing the peculiar magic of this place.
