South Whitehaven lookout

Nice little hike up to the lookout over Whitehaven beach with an incredible view. Such a beautiful spot!

Absolutely breathtaking views of the Whitehaven beach and surrounds including the inlet from the top of little hill about a km from the Whitehaven beach. Worth the walk!

Short but uphill walk to get there, awesome view of both sides of the island. Large viewing deck.

The views don’t get much better than this. Escape the crowds that overrun Hill Inlet lookouts and paths and enjoy a steep but short and ultimately rewarding hike to the top. Offering views in two distinctly different direction. Must do if in the area.

Absolutely stunning views over Whitehaven Beach and Solway Passage. Not a difficult walk.

We went with Zig Zag on their Whitehaven Beach day trip and we would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of going to Whitehaven Beach.

Amazing views, the stairs are a real struggle for kids and I had to carry a two year old for the majority of the path.

Short track to walk up. Very amazing views.

Cruise Whitsundays Tour from Hamilton Island. The trail has plenty of solid steps and takes a good 40 minutes there and back including time at the lookout. Watch out if you are on a full day tour to make sure you haven't gone exploring when the smaller boats are ready to take you to hill inlet.

The path is really clear, you don't need experience to go. Follow the signals and done.

Stunning lookout of Whitehaven Beach and Islands. We went on Zigzag Whitsundays Whitehaven Beach Tour and loved they went to this lookout , it was way less crowded than the north lookout ( which we visited last year) and has a way better view . Wow wow wow!

Beautiful view

Great lookout of Whitehaven beach. If you're looking for phone reception while at Whitehaven you might get a tiny bit here, but the better spot is the lookout just below it - the rock/Chance Bay lookout. Go to the southern end of the rock and you should get a decent bit of 4G reception

Amazing views. Be warned, there are lot of stairs to climb to get to the top. Totally worth it though.
