After a mishap with out rubbish collection due to my husbands error, I contacted council and spoke to a lovely lady Janine in the Waste Department. She kindly assisted me by arranging Cleanaway to return to empty my rubbish. I can not thank her or Cleanaway enough for the service I received!

Roadside whippersnipping broke my windscreen, I sent photos in and a quote for repairs along with a form they gave me, and they paid for it no issue. Lady at the desk was very helpful when I asked if they could pay for it. Only 3 stars because they broke it in the first place 🤣

To whom it may concern,
We, my husband and I travel quite frequently along the Melba Hwy from Yarra Glen to Yea & other destinations and we would have to advise (which I’m sure you are aware) but appear to ignore them the road conditions are atrocious, very very brutal to our new car and van. It does make the journey very uncomfortable.
These awful road conditions, e.g. deep holes, uneven shoulder edges etc which cannot be avoided when we are driving due to single lane travelling. The worst part about these conditions especially the deep holes is some that you don’t notice until you’ve unfortunately gone over it with a huge bang and hope you don’t get a blow-out and it’s worse at night time which ‘could’ potentially be fatal.
These conditions have been like this since pre-Covid - why hasn’t anything been done about it when we pay our road taxes, it’s ridiculous since you gather and receive plenty of money from local residents as well as your fair share of funds from the government.
In addition, we have noticed so many areas that appear not to be needed repairing, but have!!! Yet, the areas that are atrociously bad and need repairing urgently have been ignored.

Mmm appears council are now evading any sort of responsibility or at least ‘not’ willing to assist with the issue.
I have such doubt that anything will be done any quicker now, and we’ll have no leg to stand on if we send them (Vic Roads) our repair bill that this road is doing to our vehicles.

Unfortunately the Murrindindi Shire Council does not have jurisdiction over the road in question.

We have referred your request onto VicRoads for investigation.

We went up to the tunnel for a drive over the weekend and the road( Cheviot Rd, limestone) is in terrible condition. It's so bad ,with corrogation ,that the car was moving sideways 😱. The poor people who live out there,having to drive that road every day😠. What are their rates going to?????. Poor management on the councils part 😠😠

Paying rates for nothing other than bin collection $1600 a year for nothing
