Lovely service and best coffee on campus.

I come here somewhat regularly (about once a week). The coffee always tastes fine, but the cups are NEVER filled all the way to the top. The milk is also often steamed incorrectly (cappuccinos end up just being flate whites with a tiny bit of chocolate on top). Overall not a horrible experience but could definitely be improved

Had the chicken and avocado baguette.
Only had chicken and 3 leaves of spinach.
No avocado. Directions are hard to follow these days.

Great service and great coffee. However, the food isn’t that good. When I thought I was getting real chicken on my sandwich, I actually received a chicken tender that was just cheap processed meat. Yuk!

Very friendly staff and good range of food choices, however some of the items on the menu aren't that good. Also their peach iced tea is VERY bitter and some things are overpriced.

So I brought a friend here, as normally the service is great and the coffee is pretty good. We were served by a lady whose name starts with 'I'. We were not impressed with any aspect of her service. We began by ordering two coffees and two croissants for $4 (the current promotion advertised on the wall below the register). She tried to tell us she could not put more than one $4 croissant on the order, which we then referred to the sign where there was no limit specified, and she added on the second croissant. The register screen showed that she had entered 3 croissants and one coffee, however she insisted that the price was correct. I explained I wasn't arguing about the price, I was just confused as the screen wasn't correct. She then (visibly irritated) re-entered the order, which still did not display correctly however I could see the price was correct. Once the order was entered, I gave her a $50 note, the only cash I had and I was not able to pay by card. She told me abruptly that she didn't have enough change. I replied saying it was all I had. She then took the $50 and exchanged it with the correct change, which she in fact did have. As a side note, the flat whites we ordered were nice, however not flat. The croissants were great.
Overall I was not impressed with her tone or the way she handled the transaction in general. I walked away feeling like I had done something wrong, which is a red flag for a hospitality business. Such a shame for my friend to have seen this interaction as a new student to UQ.
