Decided to visit this cafe after a year, and the coffee just got better. There is something about a well made coffee that brings a different kind of joy on a Saturday morning. It's like a welcome note telling me, I'm about to have a great weekend.

The service is still amazing, although the macadamia brownie was a bit too sweet for my taste.

Will definitely spend more Saturday mornings at this place - for sure. 😊

Edited: 14 months and many miles later on our Aussie East coast from Brisbane, South to Sydney, way North to Cairns and back to our Valley ....
Returned happily to The Local Haunt for an iced decaf Bear Bones Coffee on my way to the next leg of this grand adventure...

... the bestest flavourful fluid to drink/drunk/drank after water of course, coz that's what we is made of ... with the other things we love regularly also.
Remember to pick good choices, coz your life So matters.

Very grateful for the smiles of staff and fur friends who brought their people outside today.

It’s been difficulty coming to the local haunt. Now that I’m moving out of the Valley, I just know it’ll be a challenge to find a place with the coffee and service as good as Gino’s.

If you’re in the area pop in for a breakky wrap and coffee.

The best of the best. Genuinely the best Cafe around Fortitude Valley; I've tried quite a few and none compete with the quality and customer service of Local Haunt. Gino and the team provide a warmth and are simply the sunshine on a winter day. They elevate simply getting coffee into a daily routine that's become essential to conquer a work day in the office. Genuinely exceptional and one of a kind, thank you guys.

If you're looking for one of the best coffee joints in the Valley, visit Gino and co at The Local Haunt. Not only will you get a fantastic coffee at a great price (and one of the best almond croissants I've ever had), but you'll get to meet some of the most down to earth, friendliest barista's the area has to offer.

Is it weird that the main thing I’ll miss about Brisbane is local haunt and the gorgeous people that work there!? Coffee is possibly the best I’ve had. I literally looked forward to waking up and visiting the cute coffee shack. Well done guys. See you next time.

In my 32 years of age and I have visited many coffee shops/ cafes. I have to say this is my fave to date ! I have now been going for years ( being a local) and can say with absolute confidence this gem has the best coffee, awesome food , an amazing location and a awesome owner with the best banter and team ❤ If you value quality coffee, quick service and a fun relaxed crew to have a joke with this is the place for you! My standard coffee is an espresso, with no milk to dilute the flavour, quality is important to me. Local Haunt provides the best quality coffee I have found in the local area. In addition to this, the staff are friendly, the music is always spot on and the dog selection is extensive. I would rate higher if it were possible.

The coffee is never dull in flavour. I never get bored of it, full stop. That's usually all I want from my coffee vender, but Local Haunt have brought a sense of community to this weird (almost) one-way street in the valley. Which, let's face it, is a miracle. The ham and cheese croissant is awesome, no oiliness. And I get to sit down and eat something I've looked forward to, and forget I'm in the Valley. Also, the plants are obviously well loved. I always want to steal them... Thanks, Gino.

I stop whenever possible to have a coffee and little snack. The service is fantastic and the atmosphere is a great way to start your day. We need more businesses like this in the city.

The only thing that energises me more than the superb coffee is seeing Gino’s heartwarming smile. Sam and Wendy are no slouches either. You can haunt my dreams in any way you like, pals. Keep up the great work.

Best coffee shop in the Valley. Quick friendly service, awesome coffee and decent prices. They only place in town that does really good decaf.

Think I just found my new local spot for my days off! Really great coffee, Barista has got skill that’s for sure! Piccolo and Oat mocha both perfect. Plus $15 for two coffees & a croissant isn’t bad!

I'd pay money just to go here for the chats and atmosphere every morning, but the coffee is easily the best (and most consistent) in the Valley.

I recently moved into the valley and Local Haunt is a little too convenient, located not 2 minutes from my front door. Despite receiving a brand new nespresso machine for my house-warming, I find myself here almost daily. My nespresso machine just can't compete with these guys.

Marley, Ben and Gino are warm and friendly and the coffee is consistently perfect. They even get my name right! (This is big, many places just yell out Miriam and maryanne and its just cringey)

Their sandwiches and breakfast muffins are great to grab and go, but they sell out fast so head down early! Honourable mention to the passionfruit doughnut I grabbed this week which was delicious, somehow even better than the chocolate brownies.

One morning last week I was juggling my keys, purse, phone and 2 hot coffees trying to swipe back into my building. One of the coffees slipped from my hand and landed on the concrete. I walked back over; defeated, to order another coffee. Without hesitation Marley had it remade for me and saved the day. You don't get service like that any more.

Make local haunt your regular coffee shop if you're in the valley in the mornings, you won't be sorry.
