I've had the pumpkin dish here so often, in other places, that I feel I can call it by its first name. But this one is a leap beyond any I've had anywhere else. Carrot cake is a fave of mine, and this one didn't look like the others, and not in an attractive way. But it too is a cut above the pretenders elsewhere. Someone here really knows how to cook and is motivated to do so.
The backdrop is lovely, and the prices very fair. If I lived in Brisbane, I'd stop crying about it every time I visited this place.

Lovely spot for a light lunch. Courtyard has shade and is a lovely place to relax. Service is so friendly and welcoming. I had a peach, whipped feta and proscuitto salad. Was really fresh and tasty.
Definitely be back on next visit. Delightful!

This Cafe is a hidden gem within the cultural complex. I especially enjoyed the atmosphere in the outside area, adjacent to water features, and sitting under the spreading branches of an incredible giant Tipuana. Good food, good value and superb service.

The cafe at the Queensland Art Gallery (QAG) is truly a hidden gem within the museum. It offers a serene escape from the city's hustle and bustle, making it a perfect spot for a peaceful meal. I recently tried their vegan roasted cauliflower dish, and it exceeded all expectations. The flavours were a symphony of deliciousness, and the dish showcased a perfect balance of textures. The cafe's commitment to vegan options that don't compromise on taste is truly commendable. It's an ideal place for art lovers and food enthusiasts alike, providing a delightful and tranquil dining experience.

Very lovely brunch.
We were in Brisbane only for the weekend and decided to have brunch in the city and followed the good reviews. Originally, we wanted a breakfast and the restaurant opened too late so we came back the next day and it was worth the wait! The food was delicious, and the service was really professional, friendly and accommodating. I had a toasting with double bried, tomato relish and onion jam and I'm in love with it! It wasn't super filing but soooo good. Every ingredient was great quality and worked so well together. My partner had a BLT sandwich with chips which he also enjoyed the tomato relish. Then we had a citrus tart which the staff brought when we were ready and we enjoyed it a lot.
The location is great with the water sound, beautiful big tree providing shade outside and the lovely designs from the art gallery. Great place to stop by before or after visiting the gallery.
My only criticism would be the smell from the recycled water? Outside but I understand the concept. Also it is a bit loud near the water. But that didn't take anything out of the great experience for us. Definitely recommend it!

Excellent food, great coffee, beautiful atmosphere and friendly service. One of our favourite cafés in all of Brisbane. Oh, and there's a pretty great gallery attached to it, too.

I had lunch here with my dad yesterday and it was one of the most delightful meals I have ever experienced. I had the char siu pork and the combination of flavours and textures in this dish was simply outstanding! Thank you so much to the chef, this was a perfect meal.
My dad had the beef tataki which also looked amazing and he thoroughly enjoyed it too.
It was nice seeing staff so happy, it made for a very relaxing atmosphere.
Not to mention the beautiful outdoor setting amongst the trees and water features.
Coffee and cake here in the morning was also excellent, I’m looking forward to coming back again soon.

One of my favourite places in Brisbane. Quality coffee (and sweet potato fries) but it is the venue that really makes this cafe so special. Underneath gorgeous trees and with open water features. Definitely worth the visit along with the Gallery!

Best Caesar salad ever!! Large serving with chicken breast, whole anchovies, a whole perfectly poached egg, and lashings of crisp cos, Parmesan etc. Really tasty. Very nice place for lunch, reasonable prices, and excellent service.

Classy place, food and engaging service. I was particularly impressed by the wait-staff's menu knowledge and exposition on how the flavour notes were assembled.
- Almost as if food was classical art itself, which in the right hands, it can well be ☺

Sit outside for the best experience. ⛲🌳

Popped in for lunch. Two sandwiches, a coffee and chips. Good generous sizes and good value. Also the man with the beard had a brilliant attitude. Just when you think customer service is dead, someone like this makes all the difference.

Had a lunch here before seeing a show Qpac. So lovely to have sit in the cool and have a delicious meal while avoiding the humidity outside. The tomato linguine was amazing, tasty and light - will be back!

Stopped in twice on our gallery visit. Cold brew coffee excellent way to cool down, and it really hit the spot. One of our party really enjoyed their hot chocolate. The menu is a sensible size without being overwhelmed with options. It was nice to sit outside with the water feature and some curious water dragons. Back to the food, my BLT was a perfect portion and the chips just right. I don't think anyone left a single bite on their plate.

The pasta was full of fresh mushroom scent, and the cooking degree of the noodles was perfect. And the fried fish also had a lot of cashew nuts, cucumbers, and cabbages, so it was crunchy and went well together. I think it would be better to break the cashew nuts and put them in.

Delicious food in serene garden setting. The chicken and mushroom rigatoni is divine. Best chips I've had in years. Ham and cheese grilled sandwich was yummy. Portions were so big that my husband and I had to take away food, including the carrot cake we've yet to eat. Lovely serene shaded garden spot with view of fountains, with the duty iguana. Don't feed the ibis! I suspect they come for the chips. Chef Danny and crew are cheerful and professional. I'd go back just for that rigatoni.
