Energy and Water Ombudsman Queensland - Head Office Reviews

I had a wonderful experience with the Ombudsman’s office. The team were incredibly helpful and assisted me in escalating my complaint with my energy provider. I am very happy with the outcome. I strongly recommend people with ongoing disputes they are unable to resolve directly with their energy provider consider the ombudsman as a pathway for resolution. Thank you for your help!

When I read the google reviews,I was a bit worried if they cannot figure out my problem. And I was wrong, the staff is so friendly and helpful(easy understanding) They also do follow up which is nice. I will highly recommend if you really have something to complain about your retailer,go online to summit a form.

I had to question charges for solar meter installation by Origin and Tammy from Ombudsman was very helpful to resolve it to my favor. People, remember that you have customer rights that retailers often violate.

Managed to get 2 months of hell dealing with ReAmped energy sorted in just 3 days. Wish I’d engaged their services much sooner.

All ombudsmen are useless in Australia the government di not provide enough financial support to respond to all the complaints.
It is useless because of their regulations the frauds are having a wonderfully time in AU.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME CONTACTING THIS DEPARTMENT.
The investigators work for the Electricity Company in my experience, as many have said in reviews.
They ignore information you send them, then months later feed you back the same information?!
In my experience, they do not ask you for further information, as they will listen to the Energy Providor whom are looking after their Profits only!
I can not believe how incompetent the Energy and Water Ombudsman is for consumers.

This department is a complete waist of space and tax payers money. They always rule in favour of the electricity company even when there is a glaring obvious issue with the bill. uses circular logic to justify their position and claimed that the difference of 3c per kwh with my new provider was enough to explain why origin bills where 3 times as high. don't waist your time with the ombudsman

The EWOQ is nothing but a pathetic front set up by the energy/electricity industry to give the "illusion", that if you have been treated unfairly or have a dispute with your energy company that you can have it addressed in a fair & reasonable manner. My dealings with every. single. one. of the EWOQ staff, from first point contact reception, to my case manager and even the area manager was appalling. They were ALL down right rude, uncaring, unsympathetic and basically a could not care less attitude towards my dispute case. They caused me a huge amount of distress and anguish, to get nothing and no help from them in the end whatsoever. a disgusting excuse for a ombudsmen.

Had no intention to help! I was told there is NO problem because I had already got my GAS reconnected after a week and a half without any. Thank Jenny!

A waste of time They offer the citizen all support short of actual help I felt I was talking to an energy provider employee

Don't EVER waste your time calling these people. Absolutely rude and unhelpful man. Blamed me for what origin did and was defensive and aggressive about what they did. Then yelled at me.
