Lifeline Shop Forestville

I love visiting lifeline in Forestville. The ladies working there are always friendly and helpful and I hardly ever leave the shop without having bought another beautiful garment. It is my favourite OpShop and I think I go there almost every week.

Two ladies working there—one was nice, the other not so. The clothes there were rather expensive (saw some dresses that were over $60, and a coat which was $100) but they seem to be of good quality. Still, it’s not worth, in my opinion, you can get way better deals elsewhere. The knitting stuff were decent though. Got 3 balls of yarn for $1 each.

Op shops should not be this expensive truely ridiculous. $40 seemed to be the average price for one garment. Lower your prices now!

I understand that you provide funds for people in crisis but you get your stock donated which means the profits are already higher. This creates a bigger textile waste as things are less likely to sell. Op shops are meant to be an affordable alternative to clothes lovers who don’t want the environment to suffer. It is also second hand!!! Which means it should be around a fourth of the retail price.

I volunteered at Vinnies for 3 years and I saw the amount of clothing that wouldn’t sell (ofc this is natural) but mostly because the prices were much too high for what it was - might as well get it new. Be the store that actually combats textile waste which is a beautiful thing op shops can do

Just tried to drop clothes at The Forestville shop. That is last time I will bother. I was just treated like a pest. We will sort through your clothes and you take the rest away....amazing attitude.
