Dr Darrell A Price

My son Owen can be very difficult (he is the one who broke the wooden box!). They are so patient with us, I am ASD ADHD myself and I forget everything so Dr Price writes everything down for me and prints notes off for me helps me put notes in my calendar. Charlotte from the very beginning when she squished us in to see Dr Price as we had just moved from nsw and it was an emergency and continues to do so when we are in urgent need of a review. She is amazing, I love our talks and I love the art in her office and she always makes me smile (despite my boys meltdowns and her having to evacuate the waiting room because of them - she did so quietly and with such grace).

Dr Price really cares. He is exceptional at what he does. He is an amazing doctor for children and in being so is a great support for their families! Dr Price works tireless to ensure he can help as many patients as possible. He is thorough, very knowledgeable and experienced. Rarely do you find Doctors like him these days. Anywhere. In my opinion, he is the best.

Dr Price and his wonderful Wife who often doubles as his hard working receptionist, are caring and thoughtful people who should be recognised for their devotion and time to the diagnosis and care and management of children with many health afflictions. 10 years for our family. Without the help of this excellent and knowledgeable doctor and his supportive wife, my eldest son would not have graduated this year as a Lawyer, nor my 2 other sons on the successful paths they are on as well for the future.

Dr Price & Charlotte (Wife & Practice Manager) are absolutely amazing. They genuinely care for their patients & families. Each patient is given the time they need & not rushed. Dr Price is very perceptive & will pick up on certain changes/behaviours before I even mention them. I love that Dr Price is a straight talker. He doesn't sugar coat, which some may find a bit confronting, HOWEVER I truly appreciate that Dr Price calls a spade a spade. In my opinion, this minimises the possibility of confusion or misunderstanding.
I believe that Dr Price & Charlotte are very selfless people who put their heart & soul into everything they do. Thank you Dr Price & Charlotte.

We have been to a few paediatricians in the past, but Dr Price stands head and shoulders above the rest. The whole experience was truly life changing for us. Dr Price was so wonderful, taking the time to listen and explain things to us, and his knowledge and understanding of neurodivergent children is second to none. A few days after our initial consult I had some worries so I called the practice for some reassurance and Dr Price himself took my call- this was so unexpected and above the call of duty. Charlotte, the practice manager was also wonderful and even managed to get us in months sooner than our booked appointment. I’m so grateful we managed to get in here! Thank you Dr Price and Charlotte :)

My children have been seeing Dr Price for about three years and he’s brilliant. Be prepared he often runs late, and if there’s a patient with an urgent issue he will take phone calls from a school or hospital during your appointment time. He gives each patient the time they need, and supports them in any way he can.
His receptionist, Charlotte, is lovely and incredibly helpful

Dr Price is a brilliant and incredibly knowledgeable physician. He is great with his clients. He gave us the time we needed and he went out of his way to explain the important information and was able to back up everything he said. Dr Price has inextricably changed the lives of my children for the better. They are now doing really well in school, managing assessments and staying focused. I simply can't thank him enough for his time, support and belief in my children. His receptionist is very friendly and welcoming, we felt instantly at ease. I recommend him to all my family and friends.

Fantastic old school doctor, straight to the point no sugar coating. The reception has some amazing decorations, kids & I are always excited to see what’s new.

My 2 teenage children have been seeing Dr Price for just over six months. He has great medical insight and is a absolutely brilliant pediatrican! Could not wish for a better ped for my children!! Only down fall is I wish we have heard of him and found him sooner. Charlotte is so helpful and wonderful and goes above and beyond. She makes our family feel very welcomed, she's so lovely and bubbly every time we see her!!

Receptionist Charlotte is always so lovely and friendly. She connects beautifully with my son and is such a delight to chat with. Both Receptionist and Dr Price are very professional and knowledgeable and helpful and we would never contemplate seeing any other Paediatrician.

Amazing Doctor! Our family have been seeing Dr Price for 3 years, we find him thorough, caring and knowledgeable. He helped our family through a difficult period and he genuinely cares for his patients.

We have known Dr Price and his receptionist since we moved here to the Gold Coast in 1997 to 1998. Our 3 sons who use to see Dr Price for medical conditions when they were children to teenagers. Our sons are adults now. We found him and his receptionist very helpful, kind, and honest. They will go out of their way to help his patients anyway they can. Do NOT listen to all the negative feedback. Find out for yourself.

I find Dr Price to be very accurate.
He was very informative and direct (some people may not find this comforting- but you are not seeing him to be comforted - you are there for information) he is a nice man who gets to the point with no mucking about!
He is your typical “old school Doctor” and I like that. - I see people putting one star reviews and I think they need to toughen up to be honest.

If you the best possible advice and help for your adhd/asd family member look no further than Dr Price. After receiving the run around treatment from others we got the help we needed for our 5 year old from the first visit. It’s so nice to now see him have a calm and outgoing life instead of an angry and frustrated life.

He's great. Has really helped out my son.

I highly recommend Dr Darrell Price, his direct definitive approach to my child's needs has not only helped my child but help my approach to my childs needs. Her understanding and acceptance of herself was helped by this fantastic Dr and has allowed her to grow as an individual and excel not only at home behavioural wise but also in her schooling career. I wouldn't dream of changing her to another specialist!

I don't know where we would be today without Dr. Price. My son struggled to attend school for 4 years due to anxiety and when he was there he was to anxious to focus and learn.
He was at a point where he was having between 7-10 meltdowns per day when he was at home. This had been going on for 4 years. We had taken him to many other peadiatricions without resolution.
He is now doing very well at school and we have the happy boy he was until the age of 5, back again. It has been almost 12 months now and he is still continuing to improve.

Dr Darrel Price saved our daughters life when she was born prematurely on Christmas Day 1982. Honestly the best on the GC.

Beautiful, cheerful and helpful receptionist, always so accomodating making appointments for our family ,nothing is ever too much trouble .
Dr Price is extremely knowledgeable direct and no nonsense, exactly what we need when it comes to our children’s health
