Dr Paul Klaassen

My husband and I have been going to Dr Paul Klaassen for many years and love him. Yes, the wait can be long. He is very thorough and has a calming and reassuring effect on my on husband and myself. I would ring before your appointment and the staff at the front desk will let you know if he running behind with his appointments.

I think Dr Paul Klaassen is a rare and exceptional doctor. Yes, it's true, the wait can be long but his staff give you the heads up when you book the appointment. You get the feeling, that for him, serving patients is a calling. He doesn't rush you. He spends time to connect on a human level. You are definitely in good hands but yes, you need to be patient. It's worth it though.

Some people seem to judge Dr. Paul Klassen by the wait in his waiting rooms, rather than the quality time he spends with his patients. I have been a patient of Dr. Klassen since he was a GP before he became a specialist, you will not get a better committed Cardiologist, so if he spends more time with you or keeps you waiting a couple of hours, it’s because he really cares and wants the best for all his patients. I would gladly wait a day to see a Specialist that is prepared to give me all his time and not have to worry about patients waiting outside.

My husband is today alive due to his exceptional diagnostic skills. He had a triple heart bypass. While in hospital he got exceptional care. I can not praise the gift this doctor received too much: he is truly outstanding or plain brilliant. He is also a humble person. The staff is very helpful en friendly. We had to wait a while but I was positive inclined and enjoyed the time to relax and watch television.

Excellent Cardiologist, has cared for my husband exceptionally well. Could not speak highly enough for him. However, would have to say that having to wait 4 - 5 hours to see Dr. is unacceptable, especially when you have travelled 1 1/2 hrs to see him at Lismore and elderly with heart problems. Remember to take a cut lunch, bottled water, as there is no water or coffee machines available, and a good book may keep you occupied. Got to be better organized than this, no apologies for the delay, is just not acceptable at all..

I'd have to say this is the most appalling service ever, I was seeing Dr Cody (who was far more punctual and had far nicer staff) in his Lismore clinic before it was taken over by Dr klaassen. Of the 2 appointments I have had I am yet to see the Dr, I waited 4 hours for my first appointment only to have to leave before being seen. On my second appointment I waited over 3 hours before walking out again. The reception staff are rude (told me (33yrs) not to take up a seat reserved for patients) they have no idea what's happening, no apology, no reason for the delay. And when I asked for an early morning appointment I was told that I couldn't have one because they are only for people who live out of town. Never mind people who have jobs, school aged children, or any form of life other than sitting in waiting rooms.
I'm disgusted to say the least and will be looking for a new cardiologist asap.

If you don't want to die before you see this doctor I suggest you see someone else , first private appointment over 2 hours , second app 4 hours ,
No apology , just a doctor who thinks he is above it.

The longest wait ever, was still waiting 1 hour after the appt time.... gave up in the end...will find another doc.

Robina Hearts - The person who was supposed to send the test results to the GP was off sick, so they were not sent!!! Lost my trip to the GP... not a very good service...
