From my 1st consultation to my post op consult today Dr Harald and his team have been absolutely amazing. From the moment you walk in the door you are treated like you are the only one that counts.
Ashleigh's smile is infectious and nothing is a problem.
Stephanie is so incredible at what she does everything is so organised for you with organising your super and other things that all you really have to do is tick off her checklist.
Ellie's support and encouragement with each appointment has been amazing.
Julie my dietitian has been an absolute rock for me. She has guided me and encouraged me every step of the way. She has listened to my silly questions and put me on the right track.
Finally Dr Harald Puhalla what an amazing surgeon and amazing bed side manner. He has answered every question I have had and put my mind at ease with all of the information that I needed to support the decision of what I was doing. The day of my surgery he was so comforting before he started and asked me if I wanted him to call anyone when he was done. I honestly just thought that he would get hospital staff to ring my husband but no he took the time to ring my husband himself which made so much of a difference.

A huge thank you to Dr Harald Puhalla and all of his team. I recently had weight loss surgery July 2023 and from start to finish the whole team made everything so easy and stress free. From the first consultation with Dr Puhalla, I knew I was in good hands. He explained everything so thoroughly and from that moment, I have never looked back. Since July 2023, I am down 33 kilos and I’ve never felt so good. Before the operation, I was very over weight, unhappy, in pain with my legs and back, and just unable to live life how I wanted to with my family. But now, being able to do things with my 2 young boys and husband, walking around theme parks easily and just being happy, is the most rewarding thing ever. It has completely changed my life for the better, I know if I hadn’t had this procedure, I would never have been able to lose the weight I have and continuing to lose. I was extremely happy Dr Harald Puhalla and would highly recommend him to anyone who needs to have a hernia operation.
I had 2 hernias that required to be operated on.I had never had any kind of surgery previously so was quite nervous about it. At my consultation Dr Puhalla throughly explained the procedure with me and put my mind at ease.
On the day of the surgery he came and chatted with me in Pre Op and once again made sure I was comfortable and again reassured me that I had nothing to worry about.
I found Dr Puhalla to be very professional and felt he genuinely cares about what is best for his patients.

Dr. Harald and his staff are absolutely top-notch! The procedure was great from start to finish! The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable - you can tell they really know their stuff. The anesthetist was amazing too. I fully recovered in just a few days and couldn't have asked for a better doctor. 10/10 would recommend to all my friends and family!

DR Harala Puhalla is one of the best surgeons out there. He did a fantastic & my personal favourite was that he did a great job at making sure the wound incisions were smaller than a 5c piece and hid one of them in my belly button so I only have 3 that are barley visible. Even the office team are kind and friendly even from the first appointment! Only downfall was I didn’t have anyone from the office follow up with me after my surgery I was supposed to be contacted by a dietitian and I wasn’t until I had another follow up a few months later, I would have though it was priority for people who have just come from surgery. but oh well at least the surgery went well!

I had a gastric sleeve done in January with Dr Puhalla. Such a great doctor, extremely thorough and fantastic follow up. I cannot thank him enough. My bloods are back to normal, I'm back within a healthy BMI range and I'm slowly coming off various meds. From a joint point of view, my knees no longer hurt after a shift at work and I have had minimal migraines. From a holistic health point of view this is the best thing I have done for me for a long time. Don't do what I did and think about it for years before doing it, do it for you and get the best surgeon for the job, Dr Puhalla!!

Dr Puhalla is the most amazing doctor/Surgeon I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with. He performed gastric bypass surgery on me 12 months ago and I have since lost 54kg and gained a happy healthy lifestyle, thanks to his support and expertise. I’m in my early 70s, so proceeding with a gastric bypass was a huge decision. The operation was done June 2016 & I would do it all again in a heartbeat.
Pivotal to my decision to go ahead with the procedure was Dr Puhalla himself. At my initial consult I was so impressed with his attention to detail as he explained in depth the pros & cons of the surgery & the journey I was embarking on. He was honest, didn’t sugar coat anything & he showed me respect. As time went on, I was also impressed by his kindness, his patience, and last (but not least for me) his sense of humour.
From 111kg at my heaviest to 57.5kg in 64 weeks is a great feat, however for me personally, it’s not all about the weight loss, it’s about having my self-esteem back, being healthy, not having to take blood pressure meds anymore, not having the threat of diabetes hanging over me, being free of arthritic pain, feeling energetic, feeling happy and not depressed, being able to enjoy every day with family and friends, the list of pros is endless. Oops nearly forgot, my new wardrobe does rate a high 5  

Cannot rate Dr Puhalla highly enough, he performed my surgery nearly 4 years ago and I have zero issues. He is compassionate and caring and Brooke his administration is always so helpful and goes above and beyond.

I recently had Dr Harold Puhalla operate on 2 inguinal hernias which had been causing me considerable concern and pain.

If your looking to get weight loss surgery then I would highly recommend Dr Puhalla he is the BEST. Had my gastric sleeve done in May 2021 and haven’t looked back, I wish I had done it sooner. Now my husband is looking at getting it done aswell.
