Great place to visit lots to see during the Iron fest

Excellent place to visit and see the amazing art work on the Silos which is beautiful. Make sure you view them both sides so you don't miss anything. A highly recommended place to visit and a lovely country town as well. There are great paintings on some of the buildings around town of old food, drink, petrol and household goods signs that are great to see

This is an incredible site to see. Although it doesn’t have much signage explaining the story, you can do your research on their website and learn how amazing this place is and what it represents. This was worth the detour for sure.

We were so pleased we called in to see these painted silos, it is spectacular. The artist has captured the characters beautifully and the detail is exquisite. This is a must see and don't miss for tourists.

Incredible place. Artists who do these must be incredibly talented. We showed up to see the art but we're surprised by the twilight markets next door. Quite serendipitous.

We have been a few times to events that have been held there on the weekend we went to iron festival it was amazing, a great place for it to be held a beautiful day, love the foundations ❤

Amazing heritage buildings and brilliant large-scale artwork on the silo's.
The site is full of history, and the events they've started holding here have been incredible.
Worth the journey of only to see the silo artworks!

The silos were painted in April and May 2018 by artist Guido Van Helten.

Using the site of the mural as a natural focus, the artist heard from former employees and Portland natives alike to piece together a view of this former industrial community known as ‘the town that built Sydney.’

We had a wonderful time at Portland visiting the markets on the long weekend for The Beatlesfest

Nice small town and beautiful cillo art.
Free camping at the Sports ground.
Go for a beer or a meal to support the town.

just WOW, great art, and when you drive into town it just hits you! stop and send a few minutes and then check out the website.

Brilliant location. The Easter Twilight markets are very worth it but generally, it's a fab location.

Well recommended, an amazing experience. The options at foundation's is excellent.
The night markets are held regularly including fireworks, bonfires and live music making the entertainment a fantastic weekend for the children and the adults.

During the day different options are around! Taking a look at the painted silos, or walking up to the amazing museum and the annex, which has amazing displays from local artists as well as coffees and cakes etc.
The staff is brilliant and all locals are knowledgeable, friendly and willing to have a little chat.
The walking tour is a must do! It is just a quick link on your phone and gives an in depth tour, a must do if you are a tourist or a local!!!

The foundations is also home to small businesses and has a fitness centre through the week.
This place really is the heart of portland.

The accessibility is excellent with ample parking, access from lithgow/bathurst/mudgee and has small shops around for everyone including Cafe, hair salon and craft/pictrue shop.

10/10 must visit.

They have done an amazing job updating this area as a tourist attraction. Must visit if in the area.
