Great pub lunch with friends, very friendly and helpful owners, really good red wine, kid friendly and the 2 and 4 year olds were kept entertained. Would definitely come back again and try and stay the night.
Portland is a quaint country town with amazing street art, well worth a wander. 😊

Went for an Anzac Day lunch with friends in our way to Mudgee. The publicans are really lovely and created a beautiful atmosphere. Beautiful old pub. Food was typical pub fare - tasty and well priced. Lovely fires, pool tables, dart boards and a place for a band - we will be back to try their rooms.
Portland is a lovely town - full of street art and weekend festivals… keen to explore further.

Ps: owners and pub are dog friendly - in a responsible way. Lovely!

We stopped by for lunch on 31/12. What a lovely old style country hotel!!! And what bliss with little to none gambling facilities.
The publicans and locals were very friendly and we enjoyed our short stay. We had a pizza each and they were very tasty.
Looking forward to come back here for the Blues festival.

Exceptional experience. Lovely old style pub. Lovely owners.
They are the 2nd or 3rd biggest employer of local staff in Portland.
It was great to support a local business that gives back to their community.
We really tested them on our getaway 😅 and all staff and their service was amazing and friendly.
7 mates, Thursday through to Monday and we couldn't fault anything.
Very cosy, great atmosphere, very accommodating for our group.
Food was delishous.
Over our stay, We had almost everything on the menu. Mash was creamy and not lumpy!
Drink service ✔ we had a large variety of drinks 😅.
Accommodation/ rooms were clean neat and very comfy. We all slept well.
Amenities clean and tidy ✔
Yes the dogs are great, they are part of the pub. Friendly clean and abedident.
if you do have a problem, all you have to do is politely say something and staff will go beyond to help.
Looking forward toanyore trips to Coronation Hotel Portland.
Thanks for having us.

Came up here with family for the Portland blues festival. What an awesome bloody weekend. Service was awesome, the live music was sensational, and the atmosphere was what you'd expect from a real true Australian country pub. The owner is so friendly and accommodating, highly highly recommend this pub. I'll definitely be making the 5 hour trip to come back here for the next festival

So this was my 1st visit to Portland and isn’t it a quaint and interesting town.

We went to the Foundry Twilight markets which were super busy and it was nice seeing people out and small business doing well.

After that we went for a wander around the little town and stumbled across the Coronation Hotel and decided to have dinner there. The place was interesting and full of charm. The beer garden was quaint and well set out, even had some old fashioned games for people/kids to play.

We were greeted with big smiles and friendly faces, which was nice.

The food was delicious and perfectly cooked, now me being a wine guy I was more interested in the wine list.

It was small and consisted of all local brands, which is amazing and they all were reasonably priced.

The publican Erika took the time to chat to us about the pub, the food and the wine list, she is a delightful person and her staff were super friendly band helpful too.

I’m certainly looking forward to going back and having a long lunch there again very soon.

Thank you to Erika and her amazing team for looking after us.

Cheers
Chris

Popped into what will now be our regular go to pub. Erica the owner is super lovely and her husband cooked a mean steak and looking forward to trying the vegetable risottos. Just missed the live music but looking forward to that next time and the beer garden in summer.

Awesome experience at the coro! Easily best drinks and food west of Sydney.
Beautiful bartender who made me some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had.
And the steak tasted like it was cooked by the hand of god himself.
Couldn’t recommend more highly!!!!

Food was outstanding, best steak I've had in a long time. Vegetarian options are delicious! Service was really friendly and warm. Looking forward to our next visit to this beautifully renovated old hotel. We'd love to come back and stay the night.

Great country hotel with lots of character. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I ate lunch (pulled pork burger) and dinner (steak) and both were delicious and great value for money. To my surprise the wine selection was excellent - good quality wines from the surrounding area. I stayed one night - the room and bathroom were clean and tidy. The showers were just recently renovated and the rooms have new carpet - small things which matter. In fact, the owners are very transparent with the description of the amenities - bearing in mind that this is a typical country pub and the building is 120 years old.
I found this place by accident when bushwalking in the Capertee valley. I'll be using this as my base in the future.

Perfect Blue mountains getaway for couples, functions and groups. We stayed here for the long weekend as a large group for a private function. The food was amazing, and such high quality. The staff were attentive and helpful and the pub is a quaint authentic place to explore the blue mountains in a lovely community oriented town.

Best country pub I have been to in years. I went to Portland photograph some of the heritage buildings and the repainted advertising signage and get some drone footage of the silos. That was great, but I was expecting that. What was surprised me was seeing the pub open as last time I cam through it was closed. The new owner (Erica?) told me that she and her partner have just taken it on and I for one couldn't be happier. Firstly, I am a man that likes a pub feed. The schnitzel here was big! Big and delicious! The chips and gravy were tip-top also. Another thing that was really important to me is that they take gluten-free seriously. My patner is coeliac and this is a pretty big issue for us. A lot of places claiming have gluten free dishes just have no idea and it can be a big problem, especially in the country and small towns. No problems at the coronation though! This is a place that actually gets it and takes proper care with there preparation. I am already planning another trip through in a couple of weeks- we might even stay the weekend ;)

Our Stay at the Coro Hotel was one of the most pleasant stays we have had for a good long time. Jeff and Jaison are very loving and hospitable. They always had a warm smile and my daughter became a fan of their charming personalities. The place is very clean. Sachets of Soap, shampoo , conditioner and towels are provided too.
*Thank you Jeff and Jaison*
