We are following the Silo art trail and stopped in Portland. Amazing art precinct where the old cement works was located. Well worth the detour.

Dropped in for the night markets. Had a bite at the RSL prior. Enjoy visiting the town that built the city.

I have now seen Victorian South Australia and NSW, Apart from amazing art, the silos depict the life of Australian country farming, good and harsh!

Portland, the clean air. Always stop here on the way when driving out further west. It has now been made open to the public with a carpark and are easily able to walk around and capture images. Perfect for anyone with a drone to get a full 360° view as there is more artwork on silos

Was cool to see this in person and grab some cool photos.
It’s part of the Silo Art Trail, which I’d love to follow one day.

The skill of the artist is enormous & to think they are in fact local living people is so satisfying to know they are honoured in this way. Well done Portland (NSW)👍

Very detailed which makes up for the lack of colour. Plenty of parking

A great job and nice addition to boost the exposure of the town, only need to do something with the sheds from the former cement works 👍

Artwork on a grand scale.

The murals painted on the silos are of locals and former employees of the Cement Works where the silos are located. The artist name is Guido Van Helten who did a spectacular job of giving these silos new purposes . There are six separate murals painted on the silos so don't forget to walk right around them. There is some seating in some newly established landscaped gardens beside the silos.

Behind the silos is one of the limestone quarries which is now a stunning blue lake. There is more to see here than what's seen at first glance. Take some time and have a good look around when in the area.
