Absolutely loved the food here. We got some vegan dishes to share and they were all amazing. So much flavour and so delicious. (I don’t often see vegan corn fritters so these were a must try) the service was very welcoming and friendly. It’s a great spot for dinner so I’d very much recommend it

We ordered the Feed Me set for 2 and it was more than enough for my family of 3.

The food is truly exceptional! Everything is done fantastically. The only dish I would consider the "worst" was the greens and that was already pretty good. Highly recommend it.

I went on a Sunday evening. It was fairly quiet and the service was friendly and efficient.

I ordered the crying tiger (beef) and the betel leaf as they were recommended by the staff. The beef really was melt-in-your-mouth tender with a nice spicy kick:)

Top marks, me and a few mates ate at Zaab last night, asked the server for his recommended cocktail, and were very pleased with what he suggested!! Amazing service! Food came out super quickly and was delicious, will definitely be returning soon with my partner to go through that menu again! Just divine!

Love the food here. It’s always amazing. Drinks and food is phenomenal. The team are always so helpful and really have some great recommendations and they are so friendly. Recommend to book in advance they can get busy because it’s such a treat.

Tried the $59 feed me. Everything was perfect, nothing adventurous but just generally great food mainly Thai inspired.
The pork was particularly great with a great salt seasoning on it. Staff were all friendly and attentive

Food was beautiful. Heater was very warm even sitting outside. Latrell serviced our table. He was very attentive.

It tastes good! The waiter’s attitude is also very good! It‘s just a little expensive.

Super recommended ox tongue! The sauce really match with it can the price is reasonable.

We’ve also tried the Massamun and Barramundi and they all tasted so good!!

Extremely friendly staff, felt very welcoming. The food was delicious!! As well as the drinks, we ordered zero alcohol fog horn, a flight of Negronis, an experimental drink. The small plate was a betel leaf and the tofu. The big plate was the cabbage rolls. For dessert the mango sticky rice. I never had such good vegan food before I recommend trying out this place for the good price for quality food and service.

Delicious and reasonably priced! Yummy cocktails. Scallops were very fresh and beautiful - personally a bit too spicy for me but the quality of the seafood itself was amazing. The meat was delicious and went fantastically with the sauce. The massman curry had to have been my favourite, with a little twist using mash potato instead. Chicken was of course delicious as well, vegetables were garlicky and nicely flavoured, and the dessert was fantastic and only $5pp extra and a perfect way to finish off the meal. Would definitely come back again!

Came as a visitor to Canberra - We had the set menu (couple) with a bottle of wine. Service was brilliant. So attentive - Food came out really quickly and with an explanation of what we were eating etc... So delicious. Coming from Melbourne I thought it was really good value for money. Lots of food and very tasty. Wine reasonably priced. We sat on the balcony overlooking the street and it was a great people watching spot (Which I love). Would highly recommend - Lovely food, great vibes and friendly staff. Thanks for a great night.

There is restaurant food and then there's is Zaab.
It is just amazing.... The food is full of flavour.
We had the vegetarian dishes and each of those dishes was out of this world.

The decor was really funky and set you in the food for a great afternoon. The hostess was equally knowledgeable and had a thorough knowledge of the menu add the dishes. She made ordering a dream....

Will I come back again.... Definitely!!!

Best Asian food I have had in Canberra so far. Got the $59 feed me option, which amazingly was too much food! The betel leaf, BBQ pork, chicken, veggies and massaman were all very tasty. We ended up having to take away the massaman curry home as we were so full, which they accommodated no problem. Definitely a very meat heavy feed me option, keep that in mind.

We attended as a walk-up on Mothers Day.
Even without a booking we were able to get outside seating. The food and service was excellent. Zaab's fusion style really gives every dish it's own unique flavour experience,

The food is absolutely one of the best I've had for Thai and Laos fusion. Having a Laotian background husband, he truly was surprised at how delicious the Betel Leaf and the Massamun were.
We also had the Crying Tiger and Charcoal Chicken. We ordered way too much but it was worth it. Extremely satisfied with the flavours!

In my opinion, it's better than the Thai and Laos restaurants from Sydney like Holy Basil and Greenpeppercorn.

I travel throughout Asia for work, including regular visits to Thailand a few times a year for the last 20 yrs. I also own and run a restaurant in Asia and have done a few intensive Thai cooking courses in Thailand, so I know a bit about Thai food... and this place is truly impressive!
This is the kinda food I only expect from one of the hip new Bangkok boutique bar/restaurants that I love so much.... so to find it in Canberra is a complete surprise! Zaab rocks my world, it rocks my palette.
Strong, honest flavours of traditional Thai dishes created in a modern, unique style without any compromise on flavour or spice. Not for the faint-hearted or weak-of-palette. If you haven't tried the trendy boutique bar scenes of Bangkok, or Chang Mai in the last five years, then do yourself a favour and try Zaab and discover what you've been missing. Classic suburban Australian Thai food... this is not... thank God!

Amazing flavours and really helpful staff. The atmosphere was welcoming and seating comfortable, with lighting and music levels just right. The food was exceptional and cocktail game is on point 👍 .This has been one of my favourite restaurant experiences to date.

The party of 7 girls had a FAB time @ Zaab last night. We had the feed me option every dish tasted perfect for us who have high standard of south east asian cuisine. Great cocktails as well esp the watermelon.
Big thanks to the front house manager she looked after us impeccably and the other staff who always seems to go around and clear everything without any prompting.

Not sure if I chose well from the menu but the duck curry was next level good. Heaps of spice but the flavour was an explosion in the mouth. Lychees, pineapple, tomato, fresh basil, hot chilli and perfectly cooked duck. Outstanding. The service (especially the dude at the front) was excellent. Bravo Zaab.
