I always stop here when I'm in Canberra. Great people who know their stuff, huge selection of brand new stuff, used equipment, admin and accessories and always a good experience!

Great store, lots of variety and stock as well as great prices. Enquired about chemlights via email and got a quick response. Went in store to purchase and staff were very friendly and helpful. Definitely somewhere I'll come back to

Amazing place, the staff was lovely and knowledgeable, and not hesitant to allow me to have second hand gear. The one, and very small, problem would be that the changing room had coat hangers blocking the screen from moving over. This was an easy fix, and no real problem, so there was no worry.

The guy there was awesome, gave me $10 off of my purchase and was super helpful the entire time. Best military shop in the area

Great to deal with, honest and fast working

Great store with a variety of camping/military equipment, went there to buy a knife, cord and lights. The staff was really friendly and showed zero 0% hesitation when asked questions and went out of his way to suggest equipment.

Ironside is well stocked with a wide range of new, second hand and surplus gear. Some of the gear is rare and collectible, and is hard to locate elsewhere. Owners are helpful, reasonable and very knowledgeable. Recommend a visit if you're after reasonably priced and high quality alternatives to boutique camping and outdoor gear.

The owner is a very friendly and knowledgeable person. He will happily explain the little details and make sure you get the product you NEED, he won't upsell or try and sell you the higher price items unless that is the best product for your task.

He has helped me create emergency disaster bags, customised first aid kits and pocket tool sets for any eventuality.

Everything is high quality. I have pushed everything I purchased to the limit and they have not failed once. The prices are exceptional. As good as or cheaper than online.

When you walk in you know that what you are getting is tried and tested, and that you are being treated fairly.

The ONLY issue I have is the MRE dessert bags have one item that is super addictive and no one anywhere sells it in bulk.

I cannot recommend Ironside highly enough. Everyone should visit at least once and see where it leads you.

My most favorite store in the whole of Canberra. Its a great lil surplus store that provides top quality gear at a reasonable price. They are also always happy to negotiate and trade items if you wish to do so. They have the friendliest of staff that're always happy to help with anything you need. Definitely recommend this store if you're military, cadets or into hunting and camping. Top notch store, definitely give it 5/5 stars. From the lil asian cadet
