Dr John Gallagher has replaced both of my knees in the last 3 years and I am extremely happy with the outcome. John and his team provide a 5 star service to his patients and the outcomes are terrific. I now have straight legs (not bowed) and almost 150 degree bend in my legs. Recovery was easy and pain a lot less than expected on both occasions. I would thoroughly recommend the Queensland Knee Surgery Clinic.

I would recommend Dr Gallagher to any person young or old that is looking to have a knee repair or replacement. I had a knee replacement done in 2022. My left knee was totally worn out and my end result was absolutely amazing considering what shape it was in before the operation. Dr Gallagher is a wonderful human being and is so easy to get along with. He will look after you from the time of your first appointment till the time you walk out of the hospital to go home and until your final appointment.

Not sure how he did it but Dr Gallagher has given me a new knee, with a fantastically quick recovery and an almost perfect bend. No pain to speak of and excellent post care. Both John and his brilliant manager, Susan, were just the best. In future I’ll have all my knees replaced by Dr Gallagher!

I ruptured my ACL when I was 18 years of age. The surgery was not quite what it is now, however the surgery did fix the instability. Fast forward to age 60 and it was evident to me that a knee replacement was imminent. Probably had been for some time, however fear and procrastination delayed the inevitable. I cannot speak highly enough of Dr Gallagher and his team and the success I have had with my new prosthetic. Back in the ring boxing and surprised at the amount of movement I have and no pain!! At 66 years young I had a right total knee replacement performed by Dr John Gallagher at the Brisbane Private Hospital. This was back in March 2023 and it has taken this long to pen a review because the operation and recovery was such a success that I was back at work within 7 weeks and haven't stopped since. It must be John's trade-mark as there was absolutely no pain to speak of and 10 months later, the scar is barely visible. I'm looking forward to have John replace my left knee in a few years time.

I have been a patient of John's for 7 years - and he has performed two surgeries on my left knee (half and then full knee replacement). After 4 yrs of bone on bone knee pain I finally made the decision to go ahead with the TKR. After three appointments with three different surgeons I chose Dr John Gallagher from Qld Knee Surgery Clinic. After speaking with Dr Gallagher his ability to put one at ease in layman's type language I was happy to proceed with operation. I am 15 wks. post op. I have just seen Dr Gallagher 16/01/24. His remarks to me were all positive. No need to go back and just keep doing what I have been doing regards to physio & exercise. In all honesty I have had little to no pain, swelling was down 6wks. po. Was climbing ladders & walking on 2 - 5 degree roofs after 5 wks. Also back on my GS 1250 6Wks.

As I had suffered a right knee problem for a few years I thought it was time to do something about it and I couldn't have gone to a better place. Dr John Gallagher and staff were fantastic. I had my right knee partial replacement done by Dr Gallagher in 2015 and it was extremely successful - straightened my bow-leggedness amazingly. When my left knee started giving me grief in 2021, I went back to Dr Gallagher expecting to have a full knee replacement as I was considered 'old enough'. However, Dr Gallagher felt a partial was in order and he performed that surgery 12 months ago. That has also been a great success and I have far less pain and can walk much better. I would have no hestiation in recommending Dr Gallagher and his team - he will offer you what is necessary and do a good job. He is very pleasant to deal with and explains things in terms that I can understand.

My wife Had a huge knee problem... she could hardly walk. Other knee surgeons would not even return calls so we thoroughly researched the best knee surgeons. Without doubt John Gallagher and his team are exceptional. From the first time we met the service was beyond superb... the incredible nurse was brilliant and spent an hour with us then we had another hour with Dr Gallagher. The op was a great success and we received a huge bound copy of the whole procedure. After care was brilliant with the best physio and podiatrist team you're ever likely to encounter. I had a painful partial knee replacement done in 2016, which was unsuccessful. Earlier this year I visited Dr Gallagher asking for his opinion - he advised a revision of the knee which entailed removing the partial knee and then replacing with a total knee replacement. Its been 4 months since the operation and I have made a very good recovery, thanks to Dr Gallagher's pre & post-operative practices & skill as a surgeon. He, his theatre team & also the staff at his Rooms were all great to deal with and extremely helpful. I would recommend Dr Gallagher without hesitation.

Dr Gallagher is a very professional and skilled yet caring surgeon who not only does the job, but is dedicated to making sure its done properly to ensure a good painless future for the patient. He is thorough throughout the entire process including aftercare and even takes the time to explain things. I have complete trust in Dr Gallagher and my 17 year olds surgery has gone extremely well and has put her on track to where her knee needs to be according to her career goals where she will be full time dancing.

It is without hesitation that I recommend Dr John Gallagher. I visited Dr Gallagher early in 2022 with chronic pain in both knees. Following a thorough consultation Dr Gallagher recommended I undergo a bilateral knee replacement. I had my 12 month review and could not be happier with the end result. I am pain free and able to do things I couldn't do previously. I now wish I started the process earlier.

It has now been 10 month since the Op, and I am back in my normal routine doing what I love, like walking the dogs, landscaping at home, light exercise to keep the ticker going.
The whole team at QKSC are just bloody awesome in their job but also they way they interact with you. It's like going to a family outing when visiting, with friendly and sincere smiles and laughter, yet having your best interest at heart. Though, Jess doesn't get you coffee when you're about to go into the operating theater; she clearly needs to work on that. 🙂

After many years under the amazing care of Dr Gallagher and his professional team I had a bilateral knee replacement in May last year. Walking in two days discharged in 5 days and haven' t looked back thanks to the team at Qld Knee Clinic. We need more stars than 5 for this amazing knee clinic surgeon and staff team.
