Elysian Luxury Eco Island Retreat

Early June stay at Elysian for a very delayed honeymoon. It was fantastic—exactly what we were hoping for.

Elysian is very secluded on Long Island. Given there are very few guests at any one time, it makes for a very relaxing, personalized experience. The food was fantastic! Props to the chefs and Elysian crew. Not having to think about meals was a highlight for us. We also enjoyed spotting the local wildlife.

We had the most incredible experience at Elysian. The staff were amazing & the location was beautiful. Everything was thought of; we didn’t have to think of anything except unpack and relax. We spent days by the pool, enjoyed spa treatments, lovely food & beverages, a snorkeling tour day & lots of relaxing downtime. You absolutely must do the helicopter transfers, they were amazing!!
Highly recommend coming here for a couple enjoying a special trip / honeymoon. The staff were so friendly & so accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Elysian, for a memorable, beautiful holiday.

Fabulous Stay
Our adult children, my husband and I stayed at the Easter Holidays, the end of Summer. We arrived by helicopter experiencing the most spectacular scenery untouched by man.
Retreat is a very good description. You turn off your phones and stop. Every decision is made for you. The rooms are beautifully furnished in a relaxed way. A place to rest and restore.
The drinking water is beautiful filtered rain water and the entire experience is one with nature. For nature lovers.
But the food is an education of healthy eating. Every meal is a fixed menu with personal preferences considered if you wish.
Can't recommend it more highly.
The relaxed and attentive staff were all beautiful.
We would visit again in winter whale season.

I've just come home from a wonderful week ay Elysian with a group of friends. It was the most amazing experience and I loved every second. The location is stunning and the staff are excellent. We didn't have to think of a single thing....apart from what spa treatment we would try next (from the very talented Chloe)! The most perfect food - every meal during our stay was fresh, healthy and absolutely delicious! I also enjoyed doing the two yoga classes every day and Alba was a fantastic teacher. Josh is an excellent Manager and I can't think of a more relaxing place to unwind. Thank you to the Elysian team, I'll be back!

We had an awesome time at Elysian Luxury Retreat! The staff was super friendly and helpful from the moment we got there. They really went out of their way to make sure everything was great. The rooms were fancy and comfy, and they paid attention to all the little things. The whole experience was amazing, thanks to the awesome staff. I totally recommend Elysian for a relaxing and pampered getaway with a team that knows how to make you feel special.

What a lovely resort. A great retreat from the noise and the fuss, we really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are lovely, and with only 10 bungalows it feels so peaceful. Then there is the food - we were so lucky to have Chef Chris and his team look after us - delicious and carefully planned, each meal was special. All the staff there were fantastic. Special mention to Joshua and Erin for their Yoga classes and their attentive warm nature.

My cousin and I shared 3 nights at Elysian where we were truly able to escape the hustle and bustle of the everyday. The combination of luxury and seclusion was exquisite. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff. Gourmet chef prepared meals were mouthwatering. Morning yoga and paddle boarding at high tide were perfect activities where I was able to spot some turtles and a pod of dolphins. A sweaty hike over the island to Long Island reef did not disappoint with spectacular reef snorkelling all to myself where you could truly enjoy the crystal clear waters of the Great Barrier Reef. I hope to return and bring my husband for a special wedding anniversary.

Just returned from an Easter break at Elysian which was fabulous. Food and drink was great, the ability to do very little and relax combined with a great isolated location was good for the soul…we came back totally relaxed and would highly recommend if you are looking for a get away from it all break…

Just got back from the most amazing 4 nights away in paradise. From the moment we stepped off the helicopter the staff were so incredibly welcoming. All of the food was absolutely 5 star, thank you chef Steve! The daily mindful Yoga was a perfect start to each day and the evening canapes, cocktails by the fire pit and three course divine meal at the the end of each evening was perfection. We had beautiful sunsets, the drift away massage was out of this world and i really cant rate the staff and team enough! ive never had such amazing hospitality anywhere, they really go above and beyond at this resort. A perfect romantic and peaceful getaway. I wish i was back there now, swinging on the bungalow balcony with wine and a yummy cheese platter. Thank you Elysian Team <3

We had the most incredible stay at Elysian! The location itself is magnificent and in itself makes for a memorable experience. All members of the staff are very friendly, attentive and hospitable, which takes the experience to another level. The food was excellent - every single meal was delicious. When we weren’t relaxing by the pool, the activities were so fun - hiking, kayaking, yoga and the spa. One of the best hotel accommodations we’ve ever experienced. Cannot recommend enough!

Definitely a must for a romantic getaway! The resort is very exclusive and private with only 10 bungalow’s available. We were lucky enough to book the only one with its own private pool!
The rooms are beautifully furnished with their own fully functional bathrooms, tea and coffee making facilities, tv, aircon and island wifi.
You can relax in the lounge/bar area and read a little from their library, play a board game or take a dip in the magnesium pool. There’s also water sports equipment to use out in the aqua blue ocean and if you’re lucky enough you may see a sea turtle 🐢. The island also has a masseuse on staff to really help you relax. The choice is yours on how much or how little you choose to do.
The meals are inclusive, mouth wateringly delicious and of the highest chef quality, not to mention presented so well it should be a crime to destroy it with a fork. Bravo chef John 👏

A perfect honeymoon spent in a perfect place, we were met with a beautiful smile every day and truly spoilt from the moment we arrived. Nothing was too much for the team and we were joined by a gorgeous collection of other guests. The resort gives you the freedom to be as social as you like - we wondered up the beach to find shells, relaxed by the pool with a cocktail and got evening massages before dinner! Our meal preferences were really well catered for and each of the staff are a credit to an amazing retreat resort experience. Thank you and we will see you again!

What a dream! From the moment we stepped onto the island we were warmly welcomed by our host, who was always around when we needed her throughout the remainder of our stay. The activities, day spa and amenities were devine and deserve every single one of those 5 stars. But if there is one reason you should visit Elysian it’s for the food! Chef Chris is a culinary mastermind in the kitchen, he goes out of his way for guests and by far is the best reason to come back for more. To accompany the food you have a cool and composed bar tender Josh who will help you explore different cocktails and inspire you to become a yogi in the process. My husband and I both really needed a luxury getaway to escape from the real world and switch off, every single person at Elysian made that possible and surpassed every expectation we had. Thanks a million the the entire team, we will definitely be back again!

Enjoyed 5 blissful nights recently, and can honestly say it was one of the most relaxing holidays we've had! We were very well taken care of by the lovely staff, and the food was just delicious. The facilities are beautiful and work harmoniously with the island surrounds. A big thank you to the whole team for your tremendous work - you made it a truly memorable experience!

Amazing place to relax and unwind from busy bee life. Absolutely isolated with maximum 20 guests (when we were there it was only 2 couples including us). The staff is very friendly and always there for you offering coffee, drink or whatever you like.The food was incredible , beyond any expectations!
The only thing wouldake this place exceptional if there was a sandy beach instead of stones.

We had a double celebration during our stay at Elysian - our honeymoon and my 30th birthday. We’re so glad we chose Elysian to celebrate these special milestones because it was everything we hoped for. They even baked me a yummy birthday cake 🥰 The place was truly a paradise. Although it’s mainly accessible via a helicopter, it’s totally worth it. All our meals were delicious and the room was nice and clean. It was really nice to meet and chat with other couples as well. If you’re looking for a quiet and secluded place, Elysian is the perfect place. I also want to give the staff a big shoutout - thank you Alee, Laura, Alex, Jane, Luz, Charlie, Marcus, and everyone in the background who made our stay as lovely and special as possible. ❤

It’s a beautiful place in the Whitsundays .
The staff were all amazing. The place is so relaxing - no decisions to make in terms of food etc, the villas, lounge and pool area are close together and all conveniently laid out. The menu is customised to your dietary requirements. Each meal we had was excellent.
Set your alarm early to join the morning yoga class and start your day right.
After a nice breakfast you should go on a trip around the islands as there are incredible beaches around.

I would have loved to stay longer.

Excellent place to relax and unwind. Me and my husband had an amazing time. All of the staff were incredible and very friendly. Lili was a superb host. The food was top class. The massage was also wonderful. We will definitely be coming back.

This place already has a great reputation. We support that reputation. Fantastic staff. Every service is excellent. The food sets new high standards for us. It’s absolutely worth every penny. Full marks to Lily, Zac, Laura and Luca. Plus another chef whose name I missed and all the other back of house staff. I can’t speak highly enough and their service. Truly 5 star.

I cannot recommend this Retreat enough.
Having only 10 villas and a maximum of 20 guests makes this place idyllic and serene. You could be as social or reclusive as you wanted and all the staff were extremely friendly and willing to help with any of your requests. The range of activities available gave everyone something to do, from kayaking and stand up paddle boarding to snorkeling and sailing out on the perfectly calm waters. The spa was another great addition to our stay but the true highlight was the food. The tailored menu championed local seafood and produce and served up a gastronomic experience you would get at a hatted restaurant in Sydney.
100% recommend and 100% would go back!
