The Flamin' Galah

The Flamin' Galah is a great bar and music venue. Situated right in the centre of backpacker central. Roma st Train station is right down the road too. You can get good food until 12pm as well. Always have a great time here! Go check out it out!

Great night out at this place. I was the DD for my mates in the band that was playing that night. The food was amazing and the staff are all extremely friendly it's got a great atmosphere aswell as a free game of pool. And being next to a back Packers you are sure to meet someone for another part of the world and dive into great conversations. Although I wasnt drinking it was still a great night out.

Knock Knock Booze There

We enjoyed this ten minutes ago. It was so good we had to do a review straight away

The flavour combinations on the loaded fries was a new combination is awesome. The popcorn chicken was crisp and delicious and the burger was fresh and so good I would have stuffed down six of them in my golden days.

On top of all that you can order booze to wash it down!!!! Stone and Wood Pacific Ale

The food and drink was amazing! I had the Spicy Jalapeño Chicken Burger with a side of wedge fries and a pint of the house lager. It was all thoroughly enjoyable, the food was really delicious. Real, fair prices, and awesome service. Through my meal both the bartender and owner checked in with me and provided service beyond my expectations. I would definitely recommend a visit here whenever you get a chance!

Dive bar that serves good pub food at a reasonable price.

It's right next to a few big backpackers so there's always a few people around and a good vibe. Lots of space inside and they often have live music. Can feel a little dark inside and when it's busy can get cramped near the bar quickly but mostly an enjoyable venue.

This is such a great little joint, came here 2 years ago in dire need of beer and came back, stumbled in to a gig and had a blast. Leon the boss guy is a nice dude and the staff are all super friendly chatty bunch. They do greasy spoon food that is also gooooooooood

First visit to the flamin galah. I can not praise this establishment enough for their hospitality and service ! I go to many pubs and clubs to see live music usually several times a week and this place is fantastic. The drinks are not overpriced the service is truely impeccable and although I only ate Hot chips they were simply fantastic. I've been to plenty of friendly places but there is something special about the flamin galah and it's definitely the owner and staff. I hope you make your way there and experience the same hospitality I did.

Awesome place. House galager beer is great with chicken pops and poppers. Even got a complimentary fried chicken leg they're adding to the menu. Rock'n mates giving rock'n service. Cheers. 🍻

Bar staff were great with a patron who was slightly too intoxicated and a little handsy with a friend and I. They handled the situation really quickly and discreetly without causing any drama. I really respected the call and how it was dealt with. Thanks guys for looking out for your customers. I felt safe and looked after.

Was walking past and felt like a beer. What a choice I made. Love this place. Leon behind the bar is a legend and good for a chat.
The bloke with the beard in the kitchen cooked up the best wings I have ever had. Will deffinately be back here soon

Great venue for live music, staff very friendly and the drinks are responsible, food is really good.
So if you're looking for a great night out I would recommend this place.

No kiddin’—best burger I’ve ever had. The chicken is is to die for. Very fresh, juicy, and flavourful. Great atmosphere as well. You’re gonna wanna come here.

This place is fantastic day or night with live music or just plane good tunes. Not to mention the best staff and the best chicken I've ever had. You'll probably find me here TOO often.

Went to a pub crawl there and got three free drinks plus wings and chips!! Right next to the backpackers up on Petrie Terrace. They're great at events. Pool table, stage, bar, bathrooms, loft area.

Great burgers, friendly manager/owner? not sure which maybe he's both. Good deals and good atmosphere! Can be dead at times but also can be packed to the T's.

Excellent place. Absolutely 10/10 recommended. Friendly atmosphere, good prices, great food. You're mad if you don't go there. You won't be disappointed!

Intimate venue with pretty relaxed staff. Food was great, very generous servings. Sound system for the live stage was very good for a small place.

Beautifully beatnikky atmosphere, really original tasting burgers of quality, & there is either a live rock act or they are practicing each night.
