I have been with Nexus Human Services Braddon ACT for 3 years in this time I have had 2 position placements with the support and guidance of my employment coordinator Cathy who truly cares about finding her clients positions suitable to their skills and qualifications.

Cathy truly listens and has worked with me in finding as well as retaining both meaningful and secure work placement.

I Highly recommend Nexus Human Services and in particular Cathy as someone who will work hard with any client to achieve their employment goals.

I have been with Nexus for a short while but after trying quite a few employment agencies I would have to say this is the most helpful and encouraging agency I have been with. Very professional and well organised. 👏

They actually help you! For me, the first mandated job agency that does more than nothing but token "interviews" & then collect their govt fee. If you have the choice, choose Nexus.

These people seem to be trained in job creation without any real understanding of mental illness. one "trainor" decided he knew when people were lying and decided it might be a good idea to ask a class to come up with answers to his questions in order to teach. i doubt he understood how anxious this could make one feel

Nexus is managed by lying to its clients, deception and misleading to jobseekers. Nexus provides no support to jobseekers, but takes the glory and funding from the government when a jobseeker finds his/her own job. They barely make any referrals to employers on behalf of jobseekers rather they will harass jobseekers with calls randomly at their will.

To me, in a nutshell, Nexus is fake as their Services leads one to no benefit.

Dealing with Nexus was one of the most unfortunate experiences of my life. An agent said "ppl with mental health issues are lazy and dont really want to work", in over 5 years they only helped me get 1 job parking cars and lied to centrelink saying that I had attended a face to face appointment (which I had not) and agreed to a jobplan I had never seen that required an unemployed person to work a minimum of 15 hours a week which got me in trouble witj centrelink. Best thing I did was to leave, avoid this company at all costs.

Absolutely useless. Have been in this program for nearly a year and still have no job. I've been told of plenty of jobs that my job search assistant has put an application in for me, but after two weeks I never hear about them again.
My weekly meetings are actually tri-weekly, and they consist of "hi, how's the job search going?" "Still looking" "oh well, see you next week"

Utterly. Useless. Don't even bother, it's a waste of time.

At my initial meeting I was told I wouldn't be forced into a role I'm unsuitable for. I have autism, 2 degrees in political science and international relations, a certificate in business administration and 1 years experience in administration and the best my consultant could do for me was to fill out an applications for McDonald's. Later I got a job as a security guard on my own initiative and Ostara wouldn't even pay for the certificates or license. I had to pay over 300 dollars of my own 500 dollar Centrelink fortnightly pay to do Ostara's job for them. Absolutely useless as a disability job provider. Total waste of government money, this should be a scandal. Totally qualified and willing to work people and Ostara is too lazy to do even the most basic effort for them.
